Most Frustrating Fishing Day Ever
I use that line with no problem. I agree with the favt that it is probably that toothpick hurting the line.

What Is It?
Snacks, no matter how much I love to fish, a trip is ruined for me when i get too hungry. Snacks are always in my bag, whether it be power bars, a bag of chip, something. Water is right there with it. To me my hat, knife, and things like that are give ins. A hungry Christian is not a happy or successful fisherman.

Which Motor Should I Keep?
I could change over the electric start if I wanted too. But Iddon't really want the extra battery.

Which Motor Should I Keep?
I could but it would be kind of a pain, plus the short shaft unit is a little rough. Oh and thanks for the reply.

Which Motor Should I Keep?
I have two motors for my new boat, but only need one, so I need to sell the other. But, I don't know which wone to keep. I have an '83 Mercury 25HP long shaft. This motor is very clean, pull start, idols nice, and I feel like it may be more reliable. The only con to this motor is that I will have to buy or make a jack plate. The other motor is a '77 Mercury 25HP short shaft. This motor is a lot dirtier, a little more beat up, but has electric start. It needs the carbs cleaned out a little bit, but runs well. The two good things about this motor is the electric start and that I won't need a jack plate. Neither of them will be able to ve tested on the boat first. Any opinions would be great, I need to get one listed and sold. Thanks in advance. Christian

Can You Fly Fish In Really Murky Water?
First off I would try and do some online research and try to educate yourself as much as possible. Second, I strongly suggest going to Cabelas and talking to someone in the fly shop, they will be able to show you flys and help you with many other things. Leaders, casting form, and things like that. You may also be better off getting a combo from there instead of walmart, you will have much better luck with customer service if anything goes wrong.

Can You Fly Fish In Really Murky Water?
Foam spiders work great for me for panfish in murky water. Do you have a local store that has a fly fishing section?

Can You Fly Fish In Really Murky Water?
Yes it will work fine depending on what your using. I use streamers and cone head wooley buggers in murky water.

Frog Rod/reel
This probably won't help you mucb because my set up costs a little less but here's what I use. 7'6" MH Abu Garcia Veritas Abu Garcia Pro Max 7.1:1 #50 Power Pro I like the longer rod because it allows me to reach roght up to the bank and over the lilly pads with long casts, giving my frog a more lifelike presentation. It also helps pick up slack line quick to get a strong hookset with the frog hooks when the fish is far out. The 7.1:1 ratio on the reel also helps pick up slack line quick, and when frog fishing I have learned that timing is everything when setring the hook, the faster rario helps. The MH rod helps pull the fish out of sone pretty heavy slop and handle a big fish, plus handles a nice big fish very well. #50 braid is pretty self explanatory. Hopefully this helps. Christian

Different Fishing Rods
Straight braid would be a good option too. It will give youe less stretch, therefore most likely a stronger hookset. And you'll also have a better chance of straightening out your hook before you break the line. #30 braid would probably do.

Live Minnows Or Artificial Bait
I think there's places for both techniques in the great worl of fishing. Peeaonally I get more satisfaction out of using artificial baits. And even more satisfaction when I made it myself!

Different Fishing Rods
You must remember too, everyone's "MH" is different. There is a chance too that a longer MH rod will fix the issue. My frog rod is 7'6 so that I can drive those frog hooks through the fish when they are wayyyy out there. A longer rod allows you to pick up more slack line faster, which imo gives you a better distant hookset.

Y U M F2 Houdini Shad
I love this bait. It looks great in the water and has great action. I would recommend it!

Different Fishing Rods
If we had some info on what your using now, and what you plan on throwing would be helpful. If your using a M rod now, stepping up to a MH might fix your problem. It sounds like you just need a rod with a little more backbone.

Your Pb- Questionnaire
How deep was the fish caught? 3-4 feet Did the lure contain rattles or have hinges? No Was the lure a natural color (brown, green) or was it an unnatural color (chartreuse, orange)? Unnatural If possible, what moon phase was your PB caught during? No idea, cought it about a week ago though.

Is It Too Big?
I believe thats one size up from what i have. I also have a trion. I think you should be just fine, but if it bothers you, and you would be more comfortable with something else, then do that.

One of my favorite bass flies comes from Great lakes Fly Company. Its called the murdich minnow. Check them out. They are quality hand made flies. And Eli will make them in any colors you want. They have a great fly selection too. http://www.greatlakesfly.com/

Humminbird Fish Finders
I have found some. Not very cheap though

Finally Caught A Bass On A Flyrod
Its a whole different experience isn't it! I love it. Unless its a big fish I don't usually get down to my reel. I have found that you always need to have that pressure on the line or else the dish will shake the hook easy when fly fishing. Good job and good luck!

Inherited Rod From Grandfather
The only reason I would say its not a fly rod is that it would be very short for a fly rod. And the tackle that he got with it is not flies, but regular lures.

Humminbird Fish Finders
I have recently aquired an older Humminbird 100sx and a LCR 4 ID. Neither have mounts, power cords, or transducers. Is it worth the money to get those parts and use them? Or would I be better off with a newer fish finder? Any info would be great.
