  1. I have a Bass Raider 10E and used a 36lb for several years. As long as its not too windy it should be ok.
  2. LoL I was going to say a Lew's. I have both tournament MB's and tournament pro's both can put a lure way out there
  3. shouldn't be a problem get some ratchet straps and tie it in good and check it so often and go for it
  4. I wouldn't tow it with the prius. I would get a small truck it can go in the back or a small trailer.
  5. as a retired law enforcement officer I agree, with Fishinbuck. Call the local wildlife officer or even a local sheriff deputy and let them deal with it and pay for it. the wildlife officers will make them get in that hip pocket to pay fines. They could even lose their fishing licensesor possibly denied from getting one in the future.
  6. you might also look at getting a small pontoon boat like a pelican bass raider. I have a 10E but they make an 8FT edition also.
  7. I will bet that Lew's service Dept does you right. They are a fantastic group and have always helped me when I needed things for my Lew's Reels. I called one time to get some knob bearings for my daughter's American hero reels and they sent me all I needed free of charge. Hopefully they will have what parts you need. I have a couple of Lew's LFS reels I can loan you while you try to get yours back up if you want.
  8. Contact DVT he might have what you need or can tell you were to get the parts. I have always had great service from Lew's.
  9. Sounds like something is not connected just right. try looking it up on youtube by your reel manufacturer and model. Or wait and DVT will be able to tell you whats wrong
  10. they have free shipping on stuff. Not being sure of where you live I cant stay if they are in stock. look on BPS website and see.
  11. try Bass Pro they are listed on the website. might get lucky and not have to pay shipping
  12. I agree Lew's customer service is great. I am sure they will fix the rod
  13. I would at least take it apart and see if its clean inside and give it a drop of oil on the bearings
  14. I was going to say learn plastics and either spinnerbait or chatterbaits.
  15. I guess I am one of those hung up on brand loyalty. I have 6 Lew's reels and love each one of them. I got my daughter some of the American hero reels and called Lews about getting some bearings for the knobs on the handle and they mailed me the bearing free of charge. I always send them to lews for cleaning and lube. I usually have the reels back within a week. to me that kind of customer service means a lot.
  16. Not a fan of big game either. I started using Ande back country mono instead and love it
  17. guess I am a tight wad. I get the silver tarps at wal mart and use those. it works but it rots and tears easily after about 5 to 6 months
  18. no I live in the southern part of Oklahoma
  19. I have one of those 10lb'ers and I was happy to catch it and have a replica made of the fish, but I was going to have a replica made of anything 7lbs or over.
  20. I would also look at Diawa Arid X I think its 49.00 at Academy, also Lew's Hank Parker Speed Stick at Wal Mart its 39.99
  21. just saw the new hot sauce jig and had to order.
