Anytime is frog time if there's open water. Tie your frog on, find some weeds/lilly pads/matted grass, and throw it over them, around it, and behind it. Once you get a few bites, go from there. Look for irregularities like grass points, where two different types for vegetation meet, or where wind and/or current is pushing into the vegetation.

They are pretty common in the Mississippi River. I've seen some that were pretty impressive as far as a Mudpuppy goes in the 24+ inch range caught walleye fishing below a dam in the tailraces during the fall on a Jig/plastic in deep water. I don't recall if I've ever caught one bass fishing but I've snagged a few during the summer on wingdams. Bass eat them.It's the reason that lizards are a very popular bait on the river; especially for smallmouth. They are disgusting.

I will echo the DX744 if going with just one. It's a very versitile stick.

I believe a user review earlier said it was 1 bearing per knob. I only remember from being interested in the reel for a short time. Regardless, it shouldn't carry any weight on a decision. The handle isn't riveted so it can support a 2 bearing upgrade and handle/level wind/drive shaft bearings are something like ,60 a piece if you buy them from RC car vendors.

Neither. Pick up Rishard Matthews if he's out there before Parker comes in full swing. Travis Benjamin feels too much like Eddie Royal 2 years ago in week 1-2. Also, he's caught a grand total of 6 passes this year....3 in each game. You're banking on Josh McCown throwing and hooking up a 50 yd TD at some point in the game or you're looking at a stat line of 1-2 catches for 20 yards. Smith is facing a good secondary but he and Gilmore are the only things Flacco throws to and will be peppered with targets. If you need a homerun, Benjamin would be my choice against OAK but you could also be looking at 0-2 points. If you just need a higher floor but limited ceiling, I'll take the guy that's getting 12-15 targets per game in what is considered a "must win" game.

I believe the Cowboy's defense did play well but it wasn't their line that did that to Murray. Murray is running behind what looked to be the worst offensive line ever created. Junior varsity girls soccer would have let less through. He couldn't even get to the line of scrimmage. It isn't his fault. It's going to be even worse for him vs the Jets this coming week. That Jets defense looked amazing last night....good luck Bradford and that "offensive line" The whole 13 points on 40 min of possession is going to be the Cowboy's MO until Romo comes back week 11. When Hardy comes back week 4 they are going to rely heavily on their defense and running game. If they go 3-4 before romo/dez come back, they will win the division pretty easily unless Phily figures something out by week 4. Their line looks fine and will get better next week when what's his name comes back but for the love of god get Christine Michael needs to be put on the field ASAP. He was buried behind Lynch in Seattle and is a very good back. Until romo/dez gets back , i'd wager their game plain will be run, run, pass and as long as they don't have to get into any shootouts, they will be fine(ish).

Unfortunately there is no industry standard for rod powers and actions. Dobyns lure weights are pretty spot on but their powers are hard to keep inline. Their "MH" is a 3 power rated at 1/4 - 3/4 which is in line with what would be universally considered a M power rod. On the other hand, their 735 is labeled as a MH but it is every bit of a Heavy and more. If going the Dobyns route and wanting a M action rod, get any of their 3 power casting rods. The 733 is a great stick.

Do not get one of their cranking rods for soft plastics, even the non glass version...I use both and would never recommend it. Scroll down the list at TW a little further. The champion line is offered in both full grip and split grip when you get over 7'. ( FH means full handle on TW) If you are going after a Medium/Fast in the Champion line, I'd suggest getting the 733c. It's a fantastic rod.

not crazy about either one but Tate if I had to choose. Marshall will have a heavy dose of Vonte Davis and might be almost non existent.

Weird. I've been using the 735 for frogs for years without any issues. Perfect tip and tons of backbone for frogs...

Ugh I play Lucas this week and I just can't take another loss from him. I played him in one of my other leagues and it came down to the first MNF game. We both had kickers left.....I had Parky and he had Bryant going in 1 point down. Needless to say I lost that one, too. Jrob....time for a bounce back week bud!

Good god it's week 1 and you're on track for getting this thread closed by constantly being on the defensive in an argument you and nobody else is going to win. We've had 2-3 threads closed because 1 or 2 Patriots homers couldn't take light hearted internet banter and defended a football team as if it was their first born. Patriots fans aren't going to convince the world they aren't cheaters and vise versa. Start a new "who dun it" and let it go man.....
