Problem With My Baitcaster. Any Ideas How To Fix It?
take the line guide cap off and make sure the pawl is seated correctly on the worm gear. if it had any washers on top of it, make sure you put them back in. It does look like it's worn out though

3/8 or 1/2oz brush jig for rock/weeds. If boulders come into play, I'd rather have a football head on.

Are Edge Rods Made By G. Loomis
Isn't EDGE gary loomis' company? Oh I didn't fully read the question. The company, g.loomis, doesn't produce EDGE rods. Gary Loomis produces EDGE rods on his NFC blanks.

Does Flourocarbon Matter As Much As Companies Say It Does
I think so. I love the stuff. Could not care less about its refractive properties. I'd fish it if it were more visible than braid. I love it's slack line sensitivity and the waters I fish demand a highly abrasive line for zebra muscles. There isn't a line on the market than can touch the slack line sensitivity /w the abrasion resistant of a QUALITY fluorocarbon. The majority of the people that have these complaints can't tie proper(fluorocarbon) knots and buy inexpensive junk. I'm sure there will be arguments about that statement but whatever. I'm sure a lot of people can tie great knots /w mono and braid but fluorocarbons, for the most part, require special knots so the line doesn't dig in on itself and break . If people can't accept that, don't use it. I've used extremely cheap fluoro and, currently, use very high end fluoro.(Tatsu, shooter, FC sniper) Knot issues were never a factor if you check your line and tie a good fluorocarbon knot i.e san diego jam, shawn grigsby/no name not w/e its called. I fish anywhere from 6 and 7# fluoro on spinning reels and 12-20 fluoro on casting rods. Can't say I ever have breaks at the knot and I tie the same exact knot for all line sizes; shawn grisgby/double san diego game/ no name knot. If you're tying a knot correctly and wetting it before you synch it down, knot breakages will be a non issue. KVD line and lure conditioner is a saving grace for any coiling/memory issues for all types mono/fluoro lines. If mono is working for you, keep using it. Either that of pony up the cash for a good fluoro. Cheap stuff will just disappoint you. Don't take this as a personal attack if it came off that way. I felt being blunt and breaking your post down would be easier to decipher.

over priced for what they actually offer. You get better performance and components on rods nearly half the cost. That handle is incredibly comfortable though

St Croix Vs Fenwick
Cannot comment on Fenwick but St. Croix makes one great spinning rod.

Got Myself A New Handle For A Lure Retriever..
Don't you kid yourself! you know there isn't a rod over 7' in your collection! I could definitely fish 3/8oz trigs fine on the 744 but I''m just throwing them in cover, or very near it, almost always that it just doesn't make sense to have a lesser powered rod. I hardly notice I'm throwing them on a heavier powered rod (could be the RCS1016 spools) anyway. I've yet to venture into the 2 power dobyns. I'd like a casting set up for 1/8 and 3/16oz shakey heads...and an excuse to buy a SOL.

Got Myself A New Handle For A Lure Retriever..
This is the rod i text msg'd you about last week. DX744. Don't even have a good story. I pitched a worm next to a log, fish bit on the drop, set the hook, snapped the rod tip off 6 guides down from the tip. I could have just sent the rod in for them to check to see if it was a manufacturers defect or go the route i chose and saw (that was a bit nerve racking) the logo portion off and send it in. costs me $1.86. I've had the rod for something around 2 years now so at some point I'm guessing I nicked it or dropped it somewhere. Rod was always in a rod sock when not in use but who knows. Mrs. Dobyns was very friendly and let me pay the 80$ no hassle right away over the phone last Tuesday and I decided to get another DX745 FH instead of a 744. rod was at my door on friday. Everytime, or place I should say, I always want the power of the 745 when I'm fishing trigs in cover on the 744 so I just got another 745 and ditched my 744. When i'm open water fishing, I'm usually always using a 3/16 or 1/4oz weight and the dx743 works for that. I fish 5/16 tungsten probably 60% of the time /w the rest being 3/8 and 1/2oz and the 745 is just perfect for those. If I didn't fish so much brush/laydowns/wood w/e on the river I'd probably keep a 744 but aside from occasional open water, I just don't have a use for the 744 /w all the other champs and DX multiples I have. My other 745 is a SG and balances fine but when I put my t3 1016 on the 745 FH it felt weightless. I can see myself switching a few more to FGs. I will saw I think the rod pictured is a bit too long for your liking though

Not toasted Crust on Smooth Homemade strawberry- Can You Finesse Fish With Braided Line?
great answer- [Suggest] A Plastic
What is your favorite plastic? (who makes it, price, where you bought, color?) Reaction Innovations Beaver, 5-6$, tons of vendors, Magic Craw Under what circumstances will you throw any type of plastic? Ice out to Ice up on a Jig, shakey head, pitched into cover, open water, deep structure, everywhere How do you determine what color and type of plastic you will throw? Also, what determines if it gets some sort of weighting? Water clarity and/or weather/sky conditions. Cover and how much it takes to get in and out of it. Open water I generally throw it on a shakey head or a 5/16oz tungsten weight. The smallie beaver is a bait I use on a shakey head and in open water more than in cover and it gets more bites depending on the time of year. The large ones I usually always use in grass, wood, laydowns, brush, etc. What hook do you recommend for certain plastics?(who makes it, size) This could go on and on forever as there are thousands of variables like rod, line, cover, etc. For example, I won't use the same hook on a 3 power rod for a smallie beaver as I will on a 5 power rod. Pertaining to the bait described in this post, I use the following hooks: Secret Lures Widegap shakey head 4/0 Gama heavy cover flipping hook 3/0 VMC flipping hook 3/0 EWG and bend the hook point out 1-2 degrees Are there any plastics that you've tried that you do NOT suggest? Havoc Jerk Shad. Awful action. Has the durability of dry sand. Don't bite the tip off to get it on a swim jig. The taste is the foul. Are there any lure specific plastics that get a certain rod? I have a ton of different rods for different plastics based on how and where I'm throwing them. What techniques do you use for your selected plastic? Any tips here would be great for readers! I answered this in the hook portion If there is anything else you wish to add to further the "knowledge" of your favorite plastic, do so here! Most, if not all, soft plastics will catch fish better than others at some point.- Best All-Around Lure For All Species Of Bass?

Completly untrue- What Is The Most Common Swim Jig Size? - Seibert?
The most common size up north is without a doubt 1/4oz- Anti-Reverse On Shimano Symetre 2500 Spinning Reel Not Working After Breakdown For Cleaning
Did you put oil and/or greese on the AR bearing? If so, clean it . You can use a very very very very light oil coat or nothing at all and it will be fine. any sort of over lubrication of this bearing will cause it to fail.- Catching The Same Fish
I have caught the same prespawn female in the exact same spot, in the same water temp, on the same exact Jig and Beaver 3 times in 3 years. This year, she was 1/2lb short of my PB. I've caught her twice only once in the same year and that was on a frog in the same area she spawns. She has a distinct scaring/black spot on her left side.- Wacky Rigging Senkos (On Ds)
I use the 5in most of the time when wacky rigging a stick bait on a DS. Occasionally i'll drop to a 4in but it's rare. It does seem a bit larger than what would be thrown traditionally but it flat out works.- Awesome Video I Hope To Be Like This Man In The Future!
