  1. Exactly this. I won't beat around the bush either. Nothing is going to change. Time to move on. If she isn't willing to change man up and leave. I mean...she had a kid..with a another man...while you were married...seriously...
  2. I heard dat. Almost don't use any other colors.
  3. Because you aren't actually thinking about it... If you attach a 3 foot handle or a 3 inch handle to a 7:1:1 gear ratio reel, one turn of the handle no matter the length still rotates the gears 7 times. IPT has nothing to do with handle length
  4. No, it wont slow it... I personally change mine out to 90mm because i prefer that size. I feel 80/85 is too small for my liking.
  5. Depends on the reel....A BFS can and will fish 4-6# line. The lowest I've personally ever gone on a 51 size shimano is 8# sniper which is a very small line and I didn't have any issues and was comfortable fishing /w it.
  6. No, it isn't a frog specific line. You'll find out on Thursday via facebook.
  7. Just saw this on my FB page. The avid apparently is getting a face lift. Looks to be a split grip design. I guess we find out on Thursday.
  8. I hate to brag but my wal mart has always had them at that price. I thought that was normal. I can't believe it when I go to Cabelas/BPS/GM and they are 4-6$ a pack.
  9. I almost always peg my weight but that's more so because I fish a lot of brush/wood/heavy vegetation. Anything like weed edges or open water i generally don't peg it.
  10. Haha. Yup. If you're wanting to bass fish in the midwest during the winter, either go south to Table Rock or go all the way up north to pool 2 where a power plant keeps a portion of the river open (same /w pool 4 but it will be predominately walleye/sauger) and you can fish for smallmouth in sub zero temps if you wish.
  11. I will give a secret that is well guarded in some circles on how to catch more pike that you could ever want. You do not need a specialized pike set up. Get a jerkbait set up to target smallmouth. Buy more LC pointers and sammys then you can afford. Go target smallmouth. I promise you will catch more pike then you could imagine and the best part is you won't have any baits left over at the end of the trip as evidence to your pike buddies you went bass fishing.
  12. Many people won't ever believe that higher end poppers can/will outfish the 4.99 pop-r until they witness it. Granted that doesn't always hold true and there are days where it doesn't matter but there are the days it certainly will make that much of a difference. I personally don't use ricos much. I use Yellow Magic's which seem to produce better in my area.
  13. did you try looking up Castaway's warranty information on the rod...? http://www.castawayrods.com/pages/warranty-full-page Or just see if wal-mart will take it back.
  14. Those were on clearance months ago for the same price at DSG. I can't believe you actually found one still in a store. Good find sir!
  15. It isn't overkill, but it will be a headache on a spinning reel. 6# fluoro is incredibly strong and as long as your drag is set correctly and your line/lure is matched to your rod, bearing any nicks, your line wont break fighting a fish. I'd opt for 6-8
  16. Dobyns 733 and 734 (depends on style of chatterbait), Daiwa T3B 15# fluoro,
  17. Make sure there are the 2 shims in the cast control cap on your T3. Mine always fall out when I break them down to clean them. Perhaps set the dial to a number greater than 6. there are 20 settings on the dial. 6 would be equivalent to roughly 3 on your fuego. You really don't need to put much force at all into casting the 1016. It's insane how effortless I can pitch a bait as far as I do. As for the 51e, if you decide not to send it in, i'll gladly take it off your hands before the hammer does. Heck, I'll even pay the shipping!
  18. Make sure the AR bearing isn't over lubricated. (It's incredibly easy to do this and it will cause the slippage you are speaking of). Pop it out from under the handle side under the drag and give it a check . Make sure it isn't missing any of the "spokes" inside the housing as well.
  19. I use 1000 size reels for everything. I can't comment on 20# braid (I can't imagine it being an issue) but I do use straight 6 and 7# fluoro for most applications. I don't pick up a spinning rod/reel and expect to over power a fish. I use the drag and rod to do all the work whether it be from a 5# largemouth, 5# smallmouth, 8# walleye, or a 30# carp, I'ver never had an issue getting a fish to the boat. Just takes time. For sheer casting distance, the 2500 will win due to the larger spool but again, i don't use a spinning rod to bomb lures a quarter mile. I can cast a DS,shaky head/flike shake and 3" senko further than I need to. The only drawback I've found /w 1000 vs 2500 is line capacity. The spools are smaller and obviously hold less line. I don't have any line management issues either. All my spinning reels are 1000 stradics FI/FJ.
  20. I used the old white box xps fluoro once. Not a bad line. Little bit of memory but not terrible. Have not used the new purple box that is now made by seaguar. I would use sniper 11 times out of 10 before xps though.
  21. Fluke and a swim jig would be my first choices most likely.
