  1. 1/2oz is probably the most universal weight that can be used in most conditions. I use 3/8 in 4 ft or less. after that I usually use 1/2
  2. Yup. Thats called a 3 way rig
  3. you've got some cahones tossing baits over 1oz on the 734.

The KV 1.5 shallow looks good. The rage winnow looks like a slimmer LFT magic shad. should be interesting.
  5. I guess i am unclear as to what line you are using. 10# trilene what? If its just 10# mono, why are you using a leader? If the knot is breaking, what line is the knot breaking in? Are you using 10#mainline attached to a swivel that is attached to those premade hook/leaders?
  6. If you are trying to pull fish through weeds with 10# test, heartbreak is inevitable. Id opt for larger line or braid. Ditch the swivel
  7. I want my swim jigs and squarebills to act like a drunk baby running into and through anything and everything.

    Midnight black spro poppin frog
  9. Agree. I fish 1/8 and 3/16 more than anything. Occasionally I'll use a 1/2oz shakey head for larger baits.
  10. These were developed specifically for the rage rig: http://www.moanerhooks.com/the-stroker-hook/ I peg a weight to a texas rig'd rage product more often than not though.

You bet you can use them on a tube jig head. They are a killer smallmouth bait when rigged that way. It's been a while since I've done it though. I just have a different preference of baits that produce as well. I do like these for pitching into cover and punching. Great bait.
  12. frogging i want heavy/XF Punching I want Heavy(or extra heavy depending on the rod company) and a Mod Fast/Fast tip . I do not like XF for punching. You can get by i suppose /w a 7'HF depending on the rod but I prefer a longer rod for both techniques. Primarily punching.
  13. I flip and pitch them all the time on a 3/8 tungsten + vmc 3/0 flipping hook(really small for 3/0) Great stayed on the light Shakey head to
  14. Plenty of older gentlemen use the Lund Rebel variants by themselves on the Mississippi River for walleye and bass. It's a solid boat.
  15. I know...it's blasphemy. Sometimes I just get on a turkey + mustard kick. I eat a lot of subway traveling all over the state and always order the turkey/cheese/mayo. I've once ordered mustard in public and thought I was about to get tossed outside. I only do it at home now. The looks you get just pierce right through you.
  16. I'm more of a mustard guy. Mustard is clearly the best because I said so.
  17. I had a turkey sandwich for lunch.
  18. So that MUST mean it's true...
  19. Research what exactly? A biased opinion? There's no such thing as "the best spinning reel in the world."
  20. I have both. Put a 90mm handle /w different knobs on the ballistic and I would choose the T3 every time. both stock though, it would be tough. I really like the t3Bs and 1016s but i hate the ballistic handle. If you don't have a tatula as of yet, i'd get one if I were you. It is a great reel.
