Future Rod Arsenal. Thoughts, Opinions?
Despite his wimpy prowess and using the 704 over the 734 , grantman is correct in this line up of rods that you should choose.

Future Rod Arsenal. Thoughts, Opinions?
Id rather use the 766 for frogs/punching/flipping heavy cover than using the 736. Neither rod walks frogs very well but the 736 will walk a frog much better than the 766. I would personally get the 735 over the 704/705 and use that for jigs/frogs in cover/trigs/carolina rigs. It has a unique xf tip that is more lucrative when using it as a utility rod. You can throw a very wide range of baits on this rod. It also depends on what you consider "light" texas rigs.

Wakebaits - When And Where Do You Use Them?
Warm(er) water All day but prefer low light Around cover/grass lines Shallow I seem to do better with low or no wind The "v" is the key.

Future Rod Arsenal. Thoughts, Opinions?
Sub the 736 for the 766 or 805 if your doing any punching. The 736 is a beastly rod but isnt a great punching stick. Would also get the 705 or 735 for jigs/crigs/frogs over the 704

Pitching Shallow
If you're going for a presentation for the bass to be able to get a look at it while falling, then use a lighter jig. If you're just going for a presentation pitching to cover/brush/wood/dragging, you're jig is fine.

Pitching Shallow
Bass will be in water that barely covers their back. 4 FOW is plenty deep for pitching a jig. If the water covers the jig, it's deep enough to use.

Dobyns Saavy 766Flip
the 736 is a pretty stout rod but not the option I'd use for punching. The champ 766 is a great punching rod and is just flat out a beast. i'd assume the savvy 766 is pretty on par. i'd get the savvy 766 over the champ 736 for punching but i'd get the champ 766 over the savvy 766.

St Croix Tip Heavy?
The new ltb are fairly tip heavy. Not all the models are that bad but more are than others. Avids arent bad.

Braid Break Off Problems
Your 65# braid and leader is fine. It isnt "overkill". Dropping down in braids wont do anything fir yoy. Its still zero stretch. If your braid is breaking right above knot, check the weights you are using for sharp edges around the insert. That will chew through braid so quick. Get some tungsten weights with inserts.

3/8 white/chart tandam nickel/gold willow/indiana blade will get you through a lot of situations.- Storing Soft Plastics In Plano Boxes
That doesn't mean what's efficient to you is efficient to somebody else. I used to be in the zip loc bag group but just didn't like it. I don't like having to search for a bag that says "craws" and then search through that 5 gallon bag and all the different bags for the color of size I want. I like to open up a hatch and being able to see the "Craw" label on a plano box and just pull it out and there they are when I open it up. There isn't ever any guessing or searching for where a certain style/color is and I always know what I'm short on. Since I keep most of my soft baits in plano boxes, I don't find that I have pounds of excess plastics that never see the light of day and just take up space either. I keep it in the upper portion of the water column but below the surface. They won't always come up to hit a horny toad but will come up just a hair for a swim jig. - Fishing An Area Deeper In The Forests That Has Bf Reports By Night Fisherman.
