  1. Congrats on new gear. Good picks. enjoy it!
  2. What is circle bashing?
  3. Booooo.. I've always wanted one of those old ProLite Gems. I believe the "c" model was the most sought after? I think 21farms has/had a few nice ones. Can't ever find a lefty and this doesn't seem to be offered in LH. That spool appears to be quite deep...
  4. Mono creates more "drag" in the water thus resulting in it being a more efficient line when waking spinnerbaits. This is why it's easier to wake a spinnerbait /w 17# line vs 12#. I'm not saying you can't do it on 12, it's just easier to do /w a larger mono because of the drag it creates. Fluoro is more dense and sinks which is more difficult to create the same presentation. you can hold your rod tip higher when using fluoro on a spinnerbait to create the same effect as using mono. For instance, if you throw the same rod/reel/line/spinnerbait using the same exact style of retrieve, the spinnerbait won't ride as high /w fluoro. It isn't a huge difference when using the same line but it's there. Hold your rod tip a little higher and reel a tad faster, you get the same effect you would using mono and tip down.
  5. 8.3oz isnt very heavy for a lower end spinning reel in the 2500/30 size. Its actually not that heavy of a spinning reel in general. If you really want something lighter weight you're going to need to go down to the 1000/25 size (these are still more than adequate) or go above the 50-70$ price tag.
  6. Couldn't have put it any better than this.
  7. I can throw a pigskin a quarter mile
  8. Agree. If you're going to be just carrying one rod /w you for very specific presentations. Get one exactly built how you want it to perform. 400$ will get you a very nice custom rod.
  9. That lews probably goes better on your sissy 7' rods
  10. I've used reel magic. No complaints but like said above washed off. Never used the Ardent brand I don't think. KvD line and lure is the real deal . Stuff works miracles.
  11. It's a good thing this is a bass fishing forum that relates to freshwater bass fishing and not saltwater fishing and the gear used... Which one of you guys is winning the special olympics today...
  12. x2 this is especially true on a jig. They get one tap before I swing.
  13. A credit card
  14. Throw a weightless stick bait back at the fish.
  15. Big fan of the 1/4 5/16 3/8 texas rig'd Rage Craw, Anaconda, recon, and lobster. I punch the shellcracker ALOT. I think Hooligan let the cat out of the bag /w that one. Im sure I'll navigate towards the rage bug at some point but I have too many RI beavers before I switch. Rage Toad..Duh. to this day I've still never tried The Menace. I can never find any.
  16. I will check my DSG tomorrow for you.
  17. I will give you a very well kept secret to fishing for Muskie Find a Lake /w Muskie Buy an assortment of Lucky Craft pointers for said body of water that matches the local forage Don't target Muskie. Go jerkbait fishing for bass.
  18. as long as the handles are both either straight or swept then yes, they are interchangeable. if not, there are ways to swap the handles but that involves after market parts. i.e different drag star etc. Gears, no idea.
  19. I can check my DSG for you. how many packs do you want? prefer paypal as payment
  20. I saw those. I need a 90mm handle for em anyway.
  21. Thanks again 21Farms. The Lew's paddle handles just didn't do it for me. Couldn't stand them. Should have known better. Have only been able to grab one Type-R handle so far. All out of stock everywhere.
  22. Bacon Mass* Fix your post liar.
  23. It really depends on how you're built. At 190 I would look like a string bean being 6'2-6'3 myself. i'm 215-220 and I've been told I have an ideal weight.
