  2. Every year, the earth moves 1/2 an inch further from the Earth.
  3. the citicas were run out on clearance a few weeks ago to 50$. they are discontinued in Dick's stores. If you can still find one, grab it asap. otherwise the sub 100$ reel selection at a Dick's won't really be worth the investment. they do have abu garcia pro max reels but i have zero experience with them.
  4. whatever braided line your comfortable with. i like suffix 832.
  5. i like roboworms and zoom finesse worms with no salt.
  6. UL mono-stren magnathin 4#. love this stuff for stream trout.
  7. i believe gander mountain carries the strike king football shakey heads. i really like these for area with lots of chunk rock. they come through it really well. for zoom trick worms i usually with a 1/8 or 3/16 oz shakey head on light line. for heavier plastics like 10in worms, rage craws, biffle bugs i like 3/8+ on heavier line.
  8. it's a matter of personal preference. i like suffix 832. moss green is a good all around color.
  9. absolutely..................not. i throw jigs in places you aren't supposed to get them back.

For those of you playing in any fantasy leagues.....who had the misfortune to play vs peyton last night? I'm gonig into Sunday down 64-3.....outlook is bleak....i need both matt ryan to just destroy new orleans and doug matin to put up last years week 8/9 numbers to even stand a chance.
  11. for 3/8oz+ lures, generally no. for the 1/4oz weights there is quite a noticeable difference between the two.
  12. the reel is so new and the labor day sales have ended so a sale on it will be most likely non existent.
  13. I very rarely if ever use rattles. I do use scent though.
  14. it works great it very muddy water. i feel more so than black/blue.
  15. that's about the max I would pay for one brand new but it's fair.
  16. LTB is a great blank. A lot of their line up(some aren't bad, some are terrible) is pretty tip heavy but if you can get past that they are good, quality rods. After switching most of my rods to a different company, i still kept a few st. croixs and the LTB68mxf was one of them. such a great topwater/fluke/jerkbait rod. the 68mxf or the 7mf are some amazingly versatile rods that can be used for almost anything you really need. lightweight and plenty sensitive.
  17. subwoofers are fantastic swim jig trailers and one of my favorites. i hated the beat shad. if possible, try and find some true swim jigs /w the "bullet" shape head. the booyah swim jigs don't come through grass of weeds very effectively in comparison to a traditional swim jig. if i'm using a black/blue or black/purple swim jig, i don't change the color of the trailer. i'm using those dark colors for a reason. if using a shad colored or white, i'm using a pearl white trailer to match or a mustard yellow or dirty orange trailer for contrast. for a bluegill colored skirt /w something like green pumpkin/orange/blue i'm a big believer in using the strike king color "kvd magic" and taking a yellow spike it marker and running a chart stripe down the side of the trailer and one stripe down the tail.(swimming caffeine shad) it isn't a bright chartreuse that appears out of the water but looks amazing in the water.
  18. the 15$ shipping charge is completely standard. them sending you the guide and having a local bait and tackle shop repair it will most likely be cheaper than shipping the rod anyway. it may run you 10$ depending on if they have to re-wrap it or not. i don't understand what you are turned off about. you aren't paying for the repair of the rod if you send it back to the company. you are paying for the shipping of the rod, which is fair. the warranty even states this. i'm not saying the broken guide is your fault but from the companies standpoint, you could have either babied your rod or abuse the heck out of it causing the broken guide.it's complete hearsay. a standard shipping fee is really the companies best option to combat people who are careless. i've been to a companies shipping and receiving area and you would be amazed the amount of broken or damaged rods that come and go. a company would be hurting if they paid the shipping under their warranty. if where you got it is a authorized dealer, they will probably repair it for free or give you a new rod.
  19. i made the same mistake with havok jerk shads. wish they but some sort of label on them.
  20. bass fishing -savvy733 i got for i think 115 /w discounts and sales /w curado 201e7 i basically stole from dicks last year for 92.00. stream trout- ESP rods 6'6 UL was 70$ /w shimano sahara 1000 that i got for 25$ new. the 4# stren magnathin on it puts me just above 100$.
