  1. Ouch, you have to go back to school already! I still have another month .Sophomore year is awesome or at least mine was. Have fun with it and start a bass club why don't ya.
  2. I don't worry about it. I'm already screwed up from being raised in a NASCAR shop breathing all those racing fuel fumes and other assorted hazards. Some lead weights that I touched for 3 seconds is not going to hurt me anymore.
  3. For me, I will run straight braid if its a reaction bait, otherwise I put a leader on it.
  4. That's crazy. I broke my MH casting rod today too.

I had to work hard to get my mom to let me go fishing today. And I naturally asked if I could go again tomorrow.
  6. Anyone have any luck with them? Wound up with a bag of Beavers and Hogs on our vacation through the midwest. Never seen them before and thought "what the heck".
  7. Run a fluke into the middle of the school and then just let it sink to the bottom

    Yeah, I believe it helps
  9. Oh yeah their expensive. The cheap castaic trout imitataions at walmart cost about $10 for a small one. The BPS Mini Z9R costs about the same again thats not even the full size one which I think is 15. The Hudds run about thirty a piece and the Matt lures are 20-25 in my area. If your going to buy them buy them off Ebay, craigslist, or in the Fishing Flea Market Forum. For weights use weighted bass hooks,

That shouldn't be a problem. Most hollow-bodied frogs weigh 1/2-3/4 oz. Even Zoom horny toads weigh enough to cast.
  11. X2. Drop that line size as far as you can get away. Try 8# fluoro
  12. I would have a squarebill crank tied on one rod and a drop-shot on another. If their is no structure target the weeds, fish always hang around those.
  13. I lose lots of jigs but crankbaits hardly ever get lost. Can rip those free most of the time. The ones I do lose get made up for the ones I find.
  14. Cover more water.
  15. I like PowerPro, never had a problem with it. With all braids, make sure to use the knot they tell you to use. Most will slip.
  16. Can I guess? I think the line was wrapped around the blank or tip. That happens with my braid.
  17. Oh, and I believe that personal experience often dictates how people act. I get to rent a boat three times a year maybe four if i'm lucky and being shore-bound I tend to avoid the annoyances that regular boaters pose.Maybe boaters have forgotten about what it's like to be stuck on the shore because I know we've all done it. The world would be a lot more courteous if everyone stood in each other's shoes for a few seconds to see the problems and annoyances they pose.
  18. Yeah, well, it's the west coast.
  19. Clarus's are on the cheaper side from $70 to a $100 and are a great first BC rod. Besides, then you get to spend that other two hundred dollars on tackle without feeling bad.
  20. Being a shore fisherman, my only problems are with the guys that buzz up to the exact same place and act like they own it as your fishing a little area or even a shadow. Then I just get lazy casting. Serves them right
  21. Were glad you care. Happy birthday
