  1. Golf: Boring as hell to watch Fishing: Exciting to watch Golf: Interesting to play Fishing: Depends on how well you fish Golf:No adrenaline except when you hit somebody or their car and walk briskly away Fishing: Adrenaline during and after every hookup That's just me and my thoughts
  2. Scale that up to 7'2" MH and fast action. I feel it handles finesse presentations a bit better and still handles heavier lures.
  3. Palomar. Works with mono, works with fluoro, and it works with braid. Sounds like a winner to me.
  4. I'd throw the second on a swim-jig.
  5. x2. Try using a silent crank if you have one with you.
  6. You on the toilet for that long?
  7. 7' to 8'6" but all of them in a M or MH action. I like longer fishing rods because my hook up ratio and landing ratio goes way up especially for crankbaits, a knock on the wood but I have never lost a fish off of treble hooks using my 8'6" cranking rod.
  8. I think John Wayne said something similiar to 18. "1. Money cannot buy happiness but it’s easier to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle. 2. Forgive your enemy but remember the b@#%&*d's name. 3. Help someone when they are in trouble and they will remember you when they're in trouble again. 4. Many people are alive only because it’s illegal to shoot them. 5. Alcohol does not solve any problems, but then again, neither does milk." - John Wayne Mainly #1 and I screwed posting this 4 times
  9. I would say that last post is a little sophmoric
  10. I don't know jack. This is consistently proven to me every day except for the weird ability to not get in trouble. The only thing I can't get out of is my Spanish final
  11. Yeah, they didn't know what they had. Think it was a girlfriend selling her boyfriends stuff. I didn't feel bad about not telling them.
  12. I buy all my quality stuff quite cheaply. I've bought multiple $300 rods from garage sale for $15-$50. Cheap is determined by the person's interpretation of it.
  13. What is that? You got the head covered.
  14. I would have gotten a Rapala X-Rap over the Strike-King crankbait but other than that it looks good
  15. I am sensing a problem. Did you at least try and fish the lake in the photo?
  16. That........is...........amazing! Heard about it on the radio all the way in California
  17. Dude, I am pretty sure that's Portuguese. It translates to "12 colors with a watercolor brush". Makes you wonder what the packager was thinking
  18. A good utility BC rod for me would be a 7'2 Shimano Clarus in MH with a Shimano Curado with a higher gear ratio(6.4-7.0). It was my first bait-casting set up and I still use it religiously. That rod is a Jig/Worm rod but can pretty much do a lot of the spectrum. The rod runs from $70-$100, just depends on how well you do your shopping and for the Curado, find one used. I would avoid the hassle of a brand new reel.
  19. I wouldn't throw that from shore, just too many things to get caught on for $15. I would save the money.
  20. If you have to go there during the sunlight don't wear bright clothing, natural colors like green or brown help.Try fan casting or casting almost parallel to the shore so the fish can't see you as well. Also use natural colored lures if the water is that clear, watermelon has worked well for me in clear lakes.Downsize your line too, if your using 12# try 8# or even 6# if the lake is full of smaller fish. You will hear this a lot but you let the fish determine how you retrieve it, I have found with Senko the longer you let it set on the bottom the more strikes you get. Maybe trout fishing has crossed over a bit but try T-Rigging it weightless so the hook is on the bottom instead of exposed. The bass might realize there is something wrong if the hook is sticking out.

Thanks for the advice. You think if I dropped or deadsticked the chatter right after they bump it or headbutt it would draw an "inhale"?

I have the regular 3/8 chatterbait, not the Pro version.

    Oh, and they work

Love the durability of Z-Man products. Find a lot of the time I'm putting plastics back in the bag to be used on the next trip.
