Does anyone know who makes a chatterbait that is more compact than the one made by Z-Man? I recently went fishing and was frustrated with the hook-up ratio. Plenty of hits but the hook is too froggin large.
  2. Nice vid. Wish my area had unpressured ponds like those.
  3. Yeah, or they just replace it and send the bill to Shimano
  4. The thing that does stink about being young is, in my case, not a lot of access to cash. I'm just trying to minimize the amount I spend trying to find the "one" I still would like to know what you use.

Thank you, thinking about taking a trip past one for a fishing trip. Definitely going to have to pick one up.
  6. I like braid, just not on the rod giving me problems. Its the one in my ID photo.
  7. I know that tying the knot right before you use it is best for knot strength but how long will you let a knot sit before it's necessary to retie it? At the moment, I am using mono if it makes any difference.

Does Bass Pro carry them in store?
  9. Thanks for the input guys
  10. I can't believe I wasted ten minutes watching that and most of it was commercials. The actors are trbl.
  11. I was using a palomar
  12. I blame the line. I bought the exact same line and I know the knots s.... . I've lost a good amount of lures with it.
  13. Okay, I give in. I've been fighting buying fluorocarbon and sticking with mono and braid but am tired of the line twist knots associated with braid. So, what brand fluorocarbon do I buy? I am looking for a brand that handles well in the 8-12 pound range. I have bought 14# 100% Berkley Fluorocarbon and was completely unsatisfied, the knots were terrible(lost three rattletraps in one day) and the memory was about the same.
  14. Yeah, skip the EZ braid and get the Stealth
  15. Try using a light fluorocarbon leader, I'm guessing that those lakes and ponds are heavily fished so they are picky. Don't worry about catching anything yet, it took me six months to finally catch a fish, and guess what, it was a crappie on top of it!
  16. Thanks for the direction. I don't mind old school, if anything it's easier to focus on and besides I don't have the money for electronics anyway
  17. Two. Dos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What's jenna?
  19. Leave it alone
  20. I was reading In-Fishermen and an article claimed if you use 65# braid with a short leader, a senko is almost neutrally buoyant and almost doesn't sink at all. The effect is a super slow fall that yields even more bights . Does anybody have any experience with this setup? By the way, I did sift through all the Senko post so I think I'm clear of retribution. I just learned that word
  21. Welcome. Nice to see a new guy in San Diego.

That sounds good just from reading it. Only problem is I'm under 21
