  1. Gamber Ace 50 pack 9.99.
  2. Man you can't walk around, you gotta be sneaky. You expect an 8 pound bass to sit there and wave a sign "catch me" while you tromp up to it? LOL The first thing you might want to do is read the bank fishing tips in the general section. Secondly who said they site near the bank and you can see them? You will need to learn were they are and like to hide during different times of yr at that particular pond. good luck
  3. Rain ain't making it to Jax enjoy YOUR break lol Good luck

Pearl or baby bass fluke. weightless
  5. amen to that....They need a new hobby plus the meat hunters troll too.
  6. No just a fine from $100 to $500 fine and suspension of the license they don't have lol. hunting without a license is a misdemeanor I assume fishing without is the same It really only get serious if you are selling the kill or have alligator or crocidile or their eggs that is a felony I think. They are also more worried about salt fish like snook, tarpon and sea turtles. But this is just off the top of my head. Here I googled it, 379 is FWC and us bank fisherman might want to read the trespassing law too that is 800 something. http://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2012/379.401

    check your email.
  8. Yep attracts cats and probably raider too.
  9. Well this new law is 4 - under 14" and one over for a 5 fish limit. So I think you limit the number of fish with eggs right there. But I doubt anyone who keeps them cares. Lou just ran into a meat hunter with 12 4-6 pounders on a rope. Think he knows there is a new law up for porposal? The guy doesn't even know current law.
  10. Yep that is correct. I spoke to a FWC officer at a publix pond they manage the fish in ponds even on private property. The pond owner maintains the actual pond, fountain, storm water devices etc.And the ponds are still private and harvesting fish are the same as other game. You need permission to fish and remove the fish. It is poaching. The statutes are clear about this but most folks don't know it. Just like most folks that do the bucket thing with two full coolers don't know the creel limit or have a license. That is why I think the new creel length change is a moot point. The folks that know the laws are guys like us that tourney fish or practice C&R for the most part. The ones eating all the 16" and larger are the fools taking them by buckets without a valid license.
  11. X2 if they are keeping them on private property without permission that's poaching. Funny thing is I never run into nobody fishing the times I fish.... 5, 6, 7 am not a soul is ever out fishing.

Yeah I just saw this. Sad to hear, prayers to his family.
  13. melatonin. It is something your body naturally produces some folks have less than needed. It is safe and non addicting.

Another place I just realized makes these is V&M baits. I was on their website recently they have a little bit of a different spin on their mold, a dip in the tail and more aggressive ribbing.
  15. President XT is a sealed CARBON(key word) drag where the president is a felt washer drag. Purist replaced this model. Arbor is a wide spool spinning reel made for fresh/salt. Medalist has a following, fished one once. Fished like any other pflueger. Don't know the stats on it. I own an a president, president XT and Templar. The XT is by far my favorite and well made. Never fished a purist. Hope it helps a little
  16. Yeah identification helps, just wanted to inform u. Both species can be very aggressive. Google or a field guide can help sort it out. U hear in Putnam a guy got bit by a coral snake. Picked it up out of the road to save it. Chomped his finger. Didnt think it was dangerous. Idea is key
  17. I will add that yes I have trouble slowing down if I am on a good moving bait kick then need to finesse it.
  18. Man I feel your pain. My whole fishing existence is an hour or two before work. My way is to pick one or two lure depending on location, time of yr, conditions and what I feel like fishing. I then stick it out. Sometimes it is a success and sometimes not. Most of the time I can usually get at least one taker.
  19. My buddy frogs the glades with a 736, I am sure he will voice his opinion but he loves it. Has it paired with a curado I. When I handled it I do say it felt quite nice in the hand.
  20. Water moccasins usually only have bands as juveniles and become solid as adults. They also have yellow around the mouth. Water snakes like pictured above have alternating blotches.

Didnt know bps had a version. Sounds like they have different color choices too. Thanks I am gonna check them out next time I am at bps
  22. Dude that is so cool. I tell u what that snake ain't gonna need to eat the rest of the summer choking that fish down
  23. To add to what TN is saying check out walmart a pfluegers and quantums. Some of their models are aluminum frame for at or under a hundred bucks if u can swing it. The older model pflueger presidents have been on sale for around 80 bucks. Or the quantum centex and accurists.
  24. Not bad for the upgrades mentioned. That's a fair price
