  1. Is it new in box? 130 is hefty if not. But the are workhorses. Used I see them depending on condition in the 60-80 for good. You can get the energy PT VI new in box for around 100 very light, great reel I love mine.
  2. Yes there is a guy on another website in the Tampa area who catches absolute pigs of LMB and snook. And what Geo said, everyone uses those things.
  3. Lol gotta love free stuff.
  4. Maybe I just need to tell my wife I HAVE to get both to see which one I like. I have split and a full in my spinning rods, kinda like the split a little better. Both the two casting rods i have right now have really weird short handles, they are shorter rods. So I am not sure which feels "right" to me. I doubt I will get a chance to handle before i order, gotta go with the gut i guess. thanks for the input guys.
  5. This was brought up on another site, but there are two schools of thought some say it dont matter xf or f is fine however look at a lot of rods for frogging and thick stuff, florida built rods, grass rods, they use a softer tip like a mod fast to give more flex when you are hauling a 4 pounder plus 32 pounds of hydrilla. I tend to lean this way being a shore angler I go through the weeds not pull the fish out of the weeds like a boater.
  6. That's what I like about most folks round here in the fl threads on all sites, keep it simple plastics, traps, topwater.
  7. Oh shoot you gonna get the tackle snobs a rioting on that one lol
  8. Question for you dobyn dudes....which handle style? Split or full? Does it make a diff in how the rod fishes, weight, balance? Or is it all personal pref.?
  9. Wil Myers a full year, longoria healthy.....the deepest rotation Rays look scary on paper
  10. They didnt mention a mortgage payment did they? That freaking thing is $135....a couple pieces of drift wood, old squeaky door hinge and a pink worm some hot glue and screws. Am I missing something lol
  11. I just saw them on ***, looks cool in the water and the big fish seemed to like it but for that price I could have a new rod or reel.

Right, hunter doesn't look up to task and the BS they pulled with balfour wont win any favors the FA market next yr. that seems to be our weakest link so far. I was happy Tillman threw a good game as I bet you enjoyed seeing Lester pitch well. I actually caught some of the game as it happened, was on the tv at zaxbys when we were eating....kids night lol

Didnt know you were a Phil's fan! I am O's fan by birth but despise the DH and loved the 94 thus the phils are my number 2(number 1 in the NL) My predictions are O's finish behind rays in east, Phil's and marlins battle to the wire for the NL east, rest of the divisions are worth watching lol....KC has an interesting shot if youth provides and pitching comes through...Chen and Guthrie lol How did ya like the O's today jig? Looked good, so did your sox....Phil's had a wild one
  15. Good point but Sandberg is a cub and sorta just don't like him cuz of that. If he was a different name or team then I would probably welcome with open arms, might take me a little and a World Series
  16. I have a Carbonlite and a lightning Carbonlite is a thousand times better. I had the carbonlite two yrs no problems. You have two problems with rods and breaking. One the ones in stores are used and abused by employees and window shoppers before you buy it. Second is that 95% of rods breaking are the dumb sobs lifting a fish, slamming it on a corner, throwing an xf tip in heavy weeds...most rods with defects break first use or two....but so do abused rods :S so hope you see my point you deffinately got the better rod take care of it and enjoy it.
  17. The color I have is bluegill. I will give it a try. The bluegill spawn when the water hits 70-80? I just have had confidence in it, probably fish it too hard and fast. The time I did get the nice fish was just like you said.
  18. I picked him off waivers and traded segura for a closer! He will PRODUCE this year and Sandberg can stick it I don't like him or amaro get rid of both them bums
  19. Yeah I got one of those lucky craft deals with the little propellers....Kelly j...my most expensive lure lol it got one nice fish don't throw it much. I can't complain my jumpin minnow did me well this morning. I will get me a devil horse to play around with.
  20. 12-14 pound mono. Berkely big game is cheap and comes on a large spool. Once you get the hang braid is deffinately more user friendly in many ways.
  21. Got three pfluegers and hear the trion is just as good. Had cardinals too, but not to savvy on the new ones. I think you can't go wrong with a trion or president
  22. Yeah man last two yrs from now til it gets dog hot in may/june topwaters good with the jumpin minnow or spook and popr. I did really care for hallow frogs but Lou talked me into one late last season so I am gonna try her out more this yr.
  23. 5 in 45 this morning. Walking the dog in bone Jumpin minnow
  24. Going to be a very interesting season. I only have one wish as I do every year to watch the Yankees fail.
