  1. How many of us have fished lakes that the bite is great on weekdays, but slows way down on the weekends? Bass can learn. How many people have seen farm ponds with a feeder that goes off at set times, and just before the feeder goes off the fish gather around for a feast? If bass only remembered things for 15 minutes, why did they congregate around the feeder? They shouldn't have remembered it. Maybe it's conditioning, learning, whatever, but I believe bass can remember experiences longer then people realize. What about when your on a school of fish, catching them on a Rc 1.5 Crankbait, on every cast, then suddenly they stop biting? Why would you ever need to change lures, down size, change color? Why not just sit there for 15 minutes if they won't remember the crankbait?
  2. My 2 cents -Do bass get learn to avoid some baits? Yes (Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, Buzzbaits) Look at any high fishing pressure body of water and these are the first baits to start getting less bites Do bass learn to avoid soft plastics? No, Every twitch, drop, jump of the rod makes the spft plastic do something different and unique, in a new order. Either the fish can't get accustomed to it or it takes much much longer This is just my experience though and my personal belief
  3. Let me know if your going to Bassarama in Richmond in January as I'd be interested in a few new baits from a fellow Virginian
  4. I just googled Charm Assasin Bass, and Sportsmans Warehouse sells them
  5. 2 at once, one a crankbait, a 1lb er and a 4 lber
  6. Yeah I think I'll head back up there and buy them out of the Berkley Line, $1.50 for a 300yd spool can't be beat
  7. I'm in Alaska so "bass fishing" stuff is always on mega clearance, because they get it in on accident. Can't wait to get back to the states in 4 months, but I'm loving the sales till then You can only catch but so many Salmon and trout before it gets old.
  8. Big Day at Walmart - There was a lot on clearance for spring today, so I bought them out about 10 Rapala Countdowns, assorted sizes and colors ($2 each) 12 Booyah Buzzbaits 1/4 and 3/8 oz ($1 each) 2 Castaic Rockhard 4" Swimbait ($4) 30 300yd Spools of Trilene XL ranging from 6lb to 12 lb test ($1.50 each) 2 Plano Crankbait Box's 3 Rapala X-Raps ($3 each) Most of it I'll just resell for a small profit, to get more stuff I actually need and use, but it was fun
  9. I've emailed Seiberts, North Star, and just waiting to hear back from them.
  10. Just curious, and kinda off topic but what was the bait Cadman came up with but was stolen out from under him? Just curious
  11. Is this really that hard to find?
  12. I like the Gamakatsu Cobra 27 Jig Heads in 1/4 oz and they work well, but I'm looking for the same head but with a larger hook, preferable a 2/0 EWG or 3/0. I can't find these anywhere. I've been using the regular Cobra 27's but I think a bigger hook would be better. Anyone have any idea's where I can get these from? Not looking to pour my own, just buy a bag of the heads, to powder paint myself and have jigs for the year. Even checked Ebay, to no avail. Only looking for about 50 heads also.
  13. I like the less then bright color patterns, more muted and natural, especially the purple and crawdad ones
  14. Best largemouth was from Lone Star Lakes, in Suffolk, Va, 9 lbs even. Caught it on a Paca Craw on a Texas Rig.
  15. Fishing the spot, 3 out of 4 days, you gotta expect you'll only catch 1 tiny one. Give it a week or so, and it should be good
  16. I'd rather have the 1/0 hooks then the 5/0 hooks, personally
  17. Anyone fish the Suffolk Lakes (Prince, Western Branch, Cahoon, Lone Star, etc). Thats where I'm usually at, though occasionally I'll hit the Mariners Museum, Trashmore, or a few other area places. Lone Star is my home lakes, where I've been going for 20+ years. I know those lakes like the back of my hand.
  18. I think I can help, if you'll just take me out to his lake for a little "research" I think I can help you out, Let me Know
