I agree with your statement George. The only time I will use live bait for fishing will be if I am in search of fish to eat. For ex: off shore saltwater fishing. If bass were a delicacy and I enjoyed eating them, then I would use live bait. However, since I love to bass fish strictly just for sport. Then its 100% artificial fishing all the time, for me . Catching a DD bass on a livebait to say I caught a DD bass will not fulfill me just one bit. To me it would be like if I cheated. I also feel the exact same way of fishing Big Bass off beds. It's the athlete in me I guess. I want to defeat my opponent fair and square. My comments above are not meant to upset anyone. These are my beliefs in regards to bass fishing.

Rchiuz, were you fishing from the bank? To answer your question. Yes, you can fish a frog on a windy day. If its a hollow body, the wind will push the frog out of the strike zone really quick. I would try to cast on the side of the pads that will give you the best of chance of working the frog somewhat before becoming swept by the wind. The bites can be pretty explosive on windy days.. Fishing with my wife and kids for a little while. I avoid going to any store on Black Fri like the plague. That's what the internet is for. Stores lure you in with unbelievable deals, but.... they only have 5 of those items in the store's showroom. No thanks.. not worth getting trampled over by idiots...

Yeah... I have been eyeing the release of this bait for a while and the release date keeps getting pushed back. It would have been awesome to have had it released during this Thanksgiving, but I am sure they wouldn't have allowed markdowns since its LT's newest bait. Lol..

The thread in regards to the gentleman that caught all those 10lb bass made me start thinking why I haven't used a buzzed bait since I love fishing top water so much... I decided to take advantage of Siebert's BF offer and got myself a few Megastrike Cavitron Buzzbaits.

I am just commenting because I saw the mention of the Scorpion XT. This reel is flat out awesome. I am enjoying mine like crazy.

As far as quick, easy, and very strong, the alberto no doubt. However, the FG knot looks intriguing. But, I do not consider that knot to be a quick knot.

Yeah the glades would have been tough today. They are hunkered down because of the front. When they get like that you have fish in the heavy cover and cover water. You may not catch big numbers but you will find some.

Never tried a levante rod, but I do own a couple of Champions and they are great rods.

Other than braid I have been using Yozuri for several years now. It has met my fishing expectations. I haven't tried other copoly's quite honestly because I haven't had to. Yozuri is so readily available and affordable that I haven't thought about using another line. I will say, with Yozuri, make sure you treat it with KVD line conditioner.

This one fish I wished I would have gotten into, would be Snook and Tarpon. I have been chasing bass for so long that I missed opportunities to learn and fish for these awesome specimens..

Quite the nice workout there. Good job staying with it. Looked like a healthy bull shark based on the pectorial fins but I could be wrong.

My short answer is no, it doesn't matter. When those fish are keyed in on frogs for example, braid color does not matter.

That fish was not 19lbs. This topic was discussed this past summer. Nice fish though, I will give him that. But not a state record fish.
