Wishing for a 736 or equivalent
I have the 736 Champion and it's a formidable punch rod. I stick any bass with that outfit and it's not going anywhere...

Wanting to try a new brand of rod..
There's definitely nothing wrong with trying other rod families. I believe that will make you well versed across the different brands. It will also make you appreciate the craftmanship when and if you decide to move up in quality. Especially if you ever go into the Custom realm. Best of luck to you on this journey.

Wanting to try a new brand of rod..
If you can save $50 more, trying going up a one tier in the rod families you have used already, and you will be amazed at the difference.

Im horrible at frog fishing.
This time of year, if your looking to be successful frogging cover and shade are going to be your key areas. Depending where you are fishing. Cover may consist of hydrilla, pads, wood, grass, or overhangs. Look for the the type of cover where most people would think twice casting into and your biggun will be seeking refuge in there!! As far the missed hits, identify if they are indeed bass. Other species like big bream will hit the frogs skirts, fooling you its bass. When a bass takes a frog, you will know. Your frog will be nowhere to be seen. When then happens set the hook hard. Good luck!!

Should I give St. Croix another shot?
St Croix are very good rods. However imho these rods do not begin to shine until you start fishing the Avid line on up.

Your relatively new to BR, welcome. A little searching and you would have found this hot topic from last week. Just click below. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/177311-live-target-sunfish/ Good luck!!

15lb. Hog!!
Holy Smokes!! That fish is huge!!

Most durable frog?
Live targets hold up very well. But at 70 bass you have reached the limit of many frogs on the market today. 70 bass is a considerable amount of abuse on a frog. Well done btw!!

Line slipping on spinnerbaits and buzzbaits?
The most simple answer that can be provided.

Locations in Florida, Miami
Fast moving baits, mostly in the crank and jerkbait variety. If you can match the hatch, for example mimicking Mayan Cichlid's or other juvenile exotics will really help. Look around culverts and pilings.

Frog line Stright braid or braid to mono?
Straight braid. A leader imho, is another point that can fail over time on hooksets.

Locations in Florida, Miami
Hi Manny, I can understand your frustration. The good news is any canal system down here in Miami hold peacock. You will find them during the peak times of the day. The further south you go past Miami the greater the chances of landing bigger Pea's. Google Earth is a good tool to find canal sytems. Best of luck to you and your little brother.

Lightest Handle
A point blank rod with a full Carbon fiber grip is a dream. I'm really enjoying mine. Light as a feather but strong as an ox.

Line Size for Whopper Plopper?
Mono or braid sounds like the best suitable line for this topwater lure.

Live Target Sunfish
I have a couple and reverted back to using the LT frog. The LT frog will put up with more abuse than the LT sunfish. Two things happen to the sunfish after you catch a few decent bass. The lip around the silver disc rips, and the disc slides into the bait, causing water to fill the bait. The bait takes in water to begin with, but the ripped lip exacerbates the issue.

Warning its gross, What happens when I forget sunscreen for 5 hours.
C&G, that's a significant burn. Regular sunburn is one thing, blistering sun burn is pretty significant. I know you are a young gun, and properly protecting yourself from the sun will prevent serious skin issues in the future.
