  1. When i take clients out, I always head for windblown points... Weedlines and steep drop offs.. Spinnerbaits and Mepps inline spinners #5.. (most people over look Lunker City 9" and 12" Slug-Go's, thoes same people don't fish for Pike for a living) For Monster size Pike head deep and troll a Vince Bianchi's "Glitter Birch" in about 20 - 30 feet deep and slow near points. Wiggle warts in hot orange will also test your rod to the limit! HH Guidedog
  2. Try this.. Go out on the big lake.. Find a area of the lake you might be comfortable in. Now picture that area as your smaller lake..Where would you fish in the smaller lake? Don't look at the big lake as one huge body of water..But rather smaller sections like the lake you are used to. I used to tell clients that all the time.. They got overwelmed by the sizes of the lakes..I told them to visualize a smaller section. GuideDog
  3. I would use a Matzuo Nano-Minnow in that situation. With a split shot or two.. Rapala has a small minnow. But the colors are all wrong for "Match the Hatch" fishing Matzuo has some green and silver Nano-Minnows. I put a black stripe down the side with a marker and it has produced excellant the last few years.. Just A Thought GuideDog
  4. I have a 2004 Lowe Fishing Machine 165, It's been great..Had a few problems with the Mercury 50. But other then that Lowe makes a great boat. Zero hassles at the dealerships!! They take pride in there boats and stand behind you 100%.... IMO You pay extra for the Tracker sticker stuck to the side of the boat. And a lot of what Lowe gives you as standard features..Is an option on a Tracker. Last week I ordered a 2006 Monark King 195... I looked at Tracker again..And the price diffrence was almost 1 1/2 time more for the Tracker.. But all Tracker dealers have 1 rule!! They outfit the boat to meet your needs. I wish all dealers were like that.. GuideDog
  5. 2nd..McMaster-Carr.. I bought some to cover a PC I was modding. They are local to me..about 15 minute drive. Pretty cheap also! GuideDog

  9. Thanks OBM for the info..I'm about 20 minutes away from the Rod Makers Shoppe.. I'll be at the Sportsmen Show all week at the IX Center.. Once that's over I'll run up there! GuideDog
  10. I too am from Cleveland.. Looking to join a Local/Small Boat Club in Northeast Ohio.. The pickings are kinda thin..I just might start my own.. GuideDog
  11. I have a 75HP E-Tech on my 2004 Lowe Fishing Machine. No issues as of yet. I don't even have to winterize it! (it didn't even heistate to start last spring) Everything is sealed..No oil changes for 3 years and the dealer said to have it serviced in 2007. It's alot quiter the most other motors and only half the emissions. The dealer had a demo setup in the shop and it can Idle for 3+ hours without oil. GuideDog
  12. "Rigged Skirt Up" Can someone enlighten me on that type of rig setup.. Thanks GuideDog
