  1. Yea man it's different in NJ though since it's neutral lol you have south NJ who ride with Eagles or Phillies and northern who ride with Giants/ Jets or Yankees/ Mets. I was born in south NJ so my younger years were Eagles and Phillies (I was only into them because my best friends dad had season tickets and would take me and my dad, my dads a Eagles/Yankee fan). We moved to jersey shore area when I was 7 or 8 and I became a Yankee fan because my dad had season tickets. He was so proud that I like the same teams he does. Never forget I went to Eagles Falcons game when ATL had Vick, was always my favorite player in NFL. It had snowed so there was still snow in stadium and Falcons were beating us I think ATL ended up winning too. A bunch of eagles fans were pelting snowballs at a father and his son who both had on Vick jerseys, kid couldn't be older than 10. The father took exception to this and was livid which is understandable you have you CHILD next to you. To sum it all up eagles security staff came and instead of removing the fans throwing and instigating they took out the father and son lol. Eagles fans we get a bad wrap but just like any group with a bad wrap there are a select few who justify it lol
  2. Its rough for Giants fans LOL Peyton is having the best start for QB in NFL History and Eli is having the worse start for a QB in NFL history lol I bet he wishes he could trade places with big brother Cooper right now lol. But the giants need to do something drastic which would be to bench Eli! which will never happen. Maybe you guys should tank the season if you are not trying to sure looks like it lol. Get a high draft pick and get you a QB or Clowney since you need a pass rush. I grew up in NJ and am an Eagles fan so all my friends were Giants fans and they had A LOT to say now NO A WORD lol
  3. Has anyone used floating worms before? What hooks do you use
  4. There is nothin you can do to prevent wind knots. The only thing is to spot them before they get too tight. As far as the pad crushers people usually cut the legs (I have some of them and the live target and that's what I did I trimmed about an inch or less off)
  5. Yea weather has a little to do with it but it's mainly because I am gonna be carrying 2 rods so one for frog and the other for some sort of soft plastic. I got a few bags of stuff from BPS that I wanted to try out.
  6. Nice fish Big Obliterator Funny I saw the title and knew you posted
  7. Lou I've noticed that at a few spots. I know you can't go out at night night but that's probably when they will turn on around midnight or so, I haven't been night fishing in a long time I may try one day next week
  8. Yea went out wit Czar and I got skunked not even a strike. They wanted his popper tho, good thing I ordered 1 with my BPS order I have never fished them before
  9. you better count that fish! every inch counts man Cutler will realize this tonight when he loses to Eli and the 0-5 giants
  10. man a 7lb pickerel did you take any pics? I'd imagine it looks like its the same size as a small musky or pike lol
  11. ANother thing is a bunch of us have linked up from this site to fish together. I've fished with 4 members from this site and plan on fishing with a few more in the future. A guy PMed me that lives by my brother in Orlando and gave me his # to fish whenever I'm in Orlando. He said he follows our competitions like Lou said its pretty cool seeing people who are not in our competition following along
  12. Yea I never fished frogs before until this competition came about. I saw what some people were catching and decided to try them out and never looked back since then. I enjoy hearing everyones stories about how the caught em, how they lost or missed them, etc that's what makes our group fun.
  13. Yea man I remember growing up soccer was my number one sport! I loved playing soccer, as I got older and bigger pop warner took over then high school football and college
  14. I would even go as far to say that more people have lasting injuries from car accidents than those who play football AT A YOUNG AGE, can't factor in college or NFL like I said only a select few are blessed to go that route
  15. I was using it saying that you drive a car everyday and the potential for injury is there. Think about how many people have played football and those at the college level and more so ex NFL are the ones who suffer from lingering injuries. Not everyone plays football at the college level or NFL. Everyone that was on my high school football team didn't go to college to play about 12 did none of which are in the NFL lol. A lot of people play football those who have lasting injuries are far less than those who don't, that's a fact.
  16. I read that saw Nope and rugby then I laughed lol. But you are with me if your child wants to do it you will let them when they reach that age. I know my son will be into football and basketball, he's only 16 months though lol, his two favorite things are his stuffed basketball and football he sleeps with them every night. Whenever I am watching the game he is right next to my with his ball and sippy cup its cute. Hopefully he follows in my footsteps and plays at all levels BUT unlike me I hope he can take it to the professional level (like all parents do lol)
  17. Being a parent would you let your child play football? Personally YES I would if that's what my child wants to do. I saw this on ESPN players like Drew Brees, Jermichael Finley, and Arian Foster said that they will not let their children play football. (Brees and his wife said they can't play until they are teenagers) Yes football is dangerous but so is driving in your car. I could be wrong but I'd imagine that more kids die in car accidents than playing football at a young age. I just wanted to see how other parents feel about this
  18. I've noticed this too that's what makes our comp better they post better fish though lol Hey man I'm from NJ so I'm from that area the type of person up north and down south are like night and day. Down here everyone is more friendly and accommodating. Up North in the NJ/NY area those words don't exist when describing most people, including myself til I came here.
  19. MCS with all the work they did, or lack there of I don't see this being done anytime soon let alone next year like they anticipate. I'd imagine a man made lake, weren't you saying like 12 acres, would take over a year a lone to get right, but what do I know. Here in FL seems like they build things in the blink of an eye so who knows. My obsession with this place is the boat rental factor, Ive been waiting for a place like that close to me here in FL
  20. lol got the whole forum buzzing bout this spot watch I'll go back there and it will just be a big a** puddle of water no fish lol
  21. You've seen the spot its open land all dug up there is no private owner lol. And besides the only way to get to it is through the site I think, so if you were to get back any other way there is no way you would be seen. Only if they have private security patrolling the 20 acre dirt field lol.
  22. Haven't ran into any interesting people while fishing but I did get the cops called on me once and a very attractive female officer responded. She didn't give me a hard time and said that people think they own the lake when they don't. We were talking about uptight rich people lol and then she told me that I didn't have to leave and to enjoy myself she was very cool.
  23. No I didn't go to him. I will when I plan on getting some jigs he does have some good prices on his products. I HATE BPS they are always more expensive than other places
