Nice little alteration I don't use my Spro that much I use other frogs but I am going to break one down and try this out. Thanks for the idea hope it works

Man nice job. I never have luck with the Red Eye Shad I've only caught like 5 fish ever on it, my buddy swears by it though.

It's in the plaza next to where The Loop is. I never ate at the Loop my cousin said it was ok. I don't think he got pizza maybe a burger I remember thinking why go to a pizza place and get a burger. I'm not a fan of those "fast food pizza places" but I did have Little Ceasars deep fish once and it wasn't bad for $8 lol

Yea she might have just accepted her fate and at the last second decided she didn't want to go out like that

I guess the weater would make sense because I went to the same spot few days ago during this weather change and they were on but that was the evening so water was most likely a lot cooler than it was this morning

Burruccis I think I butchered the name lol. But every Tuesday it's 6 or $7 large carry out pizza and Thursday is $1 beer Yeungling, Bud, Bud Lite and $1 red wine. Place is always packed so they give you free glasses of wine while you wait around key is to throw away your cup or finish your glass before your are seated and they don't charge you a WHOLE $1. Lol some guy told me that last night because my girl was having wine and I laughed. I like Brooklyn pizza too but that one on bartram seems hit or miss sometimes. There's another spot in Ponte Vedra that has good pizza in the Publix plaza. To be honest the pizza places in FL suck compared to NJ/NY for obvious reasons.

You guys need to take a trip to FL plane or car fishing year round... I feel your pain though I grew up in NJ

New York Style sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, Parm cheese, garlic, red flakes Yuengling... Had that last night this pizza spot every Thursday night does $1 slices and $1 beers had a great night lol

I stopped at this spot this morning for only 20mins around 7:20 with a white frog. I got 7 STRIKES but the weird thing is they were all bumps. I'd be moving my frog along the bank and then I'd see the fish's wake come at the from and then it would bump it or grab the legs and let go. It was weird to see this I have never had that happen, let alone 7 strikes in 20 mins. 2 big ones I could clearly see she grabbed the legs, while frog was sitting there, and then let go. If I had those live target frogs with the treble hooks or a spook I most likely would have caught all those bumpers and nibblers lol I use the frogs with the paddle tails so that could be why anyone else notice something like this before?

I don't know why that is but last week I was fishing and I caught a big one on a frog. She exploded on it while I was moving it between pads I hooked her and reeled her straight in with no fight, the mouth open thing someone mentioned could be true in this case. Then she was about 15ft from shore mouth closed and she shot back out and fought. One of my favorite catches this year

Strike King s11 is the way to go. Not expensive and they work great you don't need to spend $100s when you can get close to if not the same quality with the S11s.

I feel your pain but the big ones know how to get off hence why they are so big they've been around the block. Basically a nice hook set will increase your odds of getting her to the boat. I'm a bank fishermen so it's very frustrating losing fish at the bank and watching them swim off, or having the fish on land and it comes unhooked or you drop it and watch it go into the water... This use to happen to me a lot

Jax I noticed the same thing today. Went out an hour before dark and they were on fire! The spot I was fishing has a lot of oads but the are dying which caused the water to be really murky. Got into some nice ones all on a white frog. Going out Saturday morning hopefully I can cull some but it's gonna be hard

I moved to the dirty south and love it! I'm from NJ the arm pit on the US want to talk about dirty? lol NY/NJ are like dumpsters compared to beautiful FL.

Lol love you opening statement this will make the fishing related post count to 101 lol I would throw some sort of swim bait. A lot of spots around me are like that and I'm always throwing frogs in the shallows and when they are chasing bait fish they sometimes key in on my frog. But I usually go the swim bait rout (hard/soft) or an ultra vibe worm or rage craw fished on top.

Don't go overboard gator! Lol pick up some frogs
