Yea when he's a little older I will definitely invest in a boat so we can all go out fishing, my girl likes to fish so it will be easy to convince her. She is excited for the BPS because we use to rent john boats at this reservoir in NJ and fish. will have to invest in a truck or SUV too because I'd imagine it'd be hard to tug and load a boat into the water with a dodge charger lol maybe it could be done

He may have landed a 10 but the fish on my line was well over that... that spot is ruined they treated the water

the rods and reels were free replacements, ACADEMY FTW, but the hooks man they burn a hole in my pocket

I have a 18 month old there is no way I can get the ok from my girl to purchase one lol When they build Bass Pro I can rent a boat and fish their lake but I'm impatient lol

I usually hold down a certain spot, bank guy, for about an hour or so

If you are not having luck after catching pickerel I would move. In NJ we had this one spot that we would fish after high school that was the ideal bass spot. Then one day we pulled in a big pickerel... After that no bass and pickerel EVERY CAST. They must have eaten all the bass because these pickerel were huge could pass for pike

Yea man it's rough lol I use these certain type of frog hooks and they are like $6 for 2. I can not tell you how many currently reside in trees around Jacksonville

Funny Lou I was thinking the same thing when I watched the video again. Seems like it's more of a boat lure than bank for the reason you pointed out

Check out the Southeast Section a bunch of us FL guys do a monthly competition where we take out top 5 bass lengths of the month and total them up to see where we stack up against each other its really fun and informative, you should check it out and join the fun.

you are right I watched the video again and at first I thought they were treble hooks but they are the frog style double hooks. But I would still imagine it would be a pain to fish in heavy cover or pads

if you have an Academy sports get your rods/reels from them! LIFETIME warranty... no receipt needed (only if you want to get your money back). Other than that you bring in your broken rod/reel and they will give you the $$ in store credit to purchase whatever you want. IMO you can't beat that at all. Hell if you wanted to try out a new rod/reel you could just take your old one there and use that money towards a new one. I love Academy Sports. They are building a BPS basically behind my house that is suppose to be the 4th biggest attraction in FL equipped with a 12 acre managed lake! Can't wait for that but still Academy will get my $$ when purchasing a rod/reel for the best warranty in the business... no I don't work for them lol

I just checked out some videos I may give it a try. anyone use it have trouble with it getting snagged? I'd imagine the treble hook would pull in some vegetation or hook onto a pad if you are fishing in heavy pads or heavy cover.

I have yet to lose a lure from the braid breaking... but getting snagged and having to cut my line now that's a different story lol. I am a frequent lure to tree contributor lol
