Next time I am visiting my brother in Orlando I am going to link up with you and we can do some fishing. I am going there for a weekend, not sure when, but when I do I will give you plenty of notice and we can slay em on the frogs!

Lmao keeping them secret lol. No secrets here I rather go the private message route for these little snakes that like to steal spots and info from this site without joining in on the convo. I don't mind telling anyone that I communicate with what I use or where I go because that's fishing (like I said I go the PM route) As long as they are catch and release, you can keep one DD though lol The two people I communicate the most with by phone/text are from this site DS and Czar ask them all we do is share info we are all going out Saturday together

X2 I wouldn't have fished frogs if it wasn't for Lou. Then when I met my boy Dave for the first time he gave me the frogs I use today and I have never looked back since. As far as people's word you know they aren't lying when they tell you about their fish(s) and take out their phone to show you pics

Yea man I bet! I had mono when I hooked my PB that got away snap in a bunch of pads so I can imagine if she got you to a pillar it would have been a fish story like mine. The worst is when you actually see the fish that gets away! I would mush rather not have that image implanted in my head. My buddy's friend has been slaying the big ones in ORange Park on shad raps, two specific colors. I picked up some when I was out there yesterday going to try them out at these new spots this weekend... My frog rod will get a break this weekend only will use it during the AM and late evening inbetween I will be cranking

Man I take everyone at their word why lie? I know fishermen are known to over exaggerate but it is what it is, also not many people carry scales with them so it is an GUESStiamte. I carry my scale so I don't have to guess I'm sure a bunch of us are that way too. The worse is when you get a fish on a scale and think the scale is lying to you lol

Man I said the same thing but he showed me pics on his phone. Seems like everyone I have met and fished with has caught a 10lber except me, Czar, Jaxbasser, and DS our time will come lol. No that spot you are talking about I met the person whose house is on the lake, above it technically, and got permission to fish (according to him there are 4 in there that he knows of). That's where I was fishing and met this guy at the gas station after he saw me putting my poles back. But for real EVERYBODY in FL claims they caught a 10lb proof is in the pictures though

I know a guy in PA that throws them religiously he has caught some monsters I ordered a few should be here today hope these FL trophy bass like em

Man I am still waiting to change my PB on my profile to something like yours! I need that 10-11 lbs mark lol I met a guy yesterday who is a Marine and he told me about a bunch of spots that are on Old Saint that he has caught 10lbers out of. One spot I knew there were big ones lurking but need to ask the property owner for permission to fish, so I am going with him on Sunday and he is introducing me so I can gain access I will be there whenever I can get out since it's a lot closer than my big fish spot. My buddy is getting a yak tomorrow and wants me to take out his buddy's yak with him... after seeing that gator video I don't think I will be able to get that out of my head lol I told him I'd go with him but most likely I will be on the bank I need a jon boat and I'd be good lol

unfortunately for me I did a lot of shopping this past week. I will still take advantage of black Friday sales this year. Hope they have some good deals, a new store opened up 5 minutes from me.

this month I started using the KVD 1.5's again and I love them don't know why I ever put them down, actually I do I was addicted to frogs. I also like the rapala Shad Rap (sr6) just started using them for deeper waters and I like them a lot.

I just wanted to share this picture with you all, I found it on a bass fishing page I follow on Instagram. COULD YOU IMAGINE THIS!!! He beat his PB twice first with a 12lb 8oz and then 13lbs 5oz all in a 45 minute span. They caught 5 fish totaling 56lbs 6oz.!!!!! I mean that has to be some kind of record for 5 fish.

Man I have a bunch but the one I actually saw I will never get out of my head! It made me mad that I live in FL and I didn't catch it somewhere else where there aren't any alligators because I would have went in the water to get her! Everytime I think about it I get in a bad mood

I went fishing today in Orange Park hit up a bunch of new spots. It was extremely windy and in the high 60's mid 70's through out. Went to a new spot that I never fished before. It was a nice size pond and had a creek that was probably about 30 feet wide and was about 50yds long. Caught a ton of fish today I only got 2 on a frog in baby bass color. When I first got there I casted out a few times down the creek and then a giant inhaled my frog I only saw her head, my buddy saw her body when she came unhooked and claimed she was pushing DD... she felt like it too that was around 1:15p. After that I caught two more on a frog but nothing that I could replace any fish with. My buddy was slaying them on a KVD 1.5 crank bait so I decided to tie one on. I was using a crawfish colored one he was using a shad colored one. Pulled in a bunch of fish between us. For the first time I was catching REAL largemouth bass, I'm sick of these black bass lol, the colors on these fish were beautiful. He caught a nice 2.5lb and he missed another that was probably close to 4. Now for me I cast out by this pipe in the water and start to reel got about 3 yards past it and BOOM. To make a long story short she came off and I got my crank back mangled R.I.P. I should have taken a picture of it. We hit up a few other spots and wrapped up around 4:20p. Caught a ton of fish all on cranks. My theory is that the wind makes the bait fish scurry but not on the top so the bass are in all you can eat mode few feet below the surface. We didn't see much top water or shallow action most strikes came as the crank was approaching the shallows from deeper water. I didn't have my tape measure with me but nothing would have made the cut except the two that got off. I'm going fishing this weekend with Czar and DS I'm going to take them there Saturday so hopefully we have a productive day and can post some pics of these beautiful fish. Catching a 10lb largemouth out of there would make one hell of a wall mount, I have never seen such distinct colors on fish before.

How do you rig them what hooks do you usually use? Weight/weightless most likely depending on where I'm fishing and conditions I'd imagine?

zoom flukes are good and there are tons of swim baits that work. They have some cheap ones like Berkley, Tsunami, Storm (you usually get atleast 4 and they run around $5 or less per pack) or they have some expensive ones. I just ordered a Huddleston Weedless Shad I see a lot of people have success with them so I figured I'd try them out. Try to match colors and patterns similar to the bait fish in your local spots

Man I went out to a spot on my way home because I had some time to kill and it looked like an ocean! This wind the past two days has been brutal at times today was ridiculous though. Was suppose to go to Orlando tomorrow but I am going next week so I am going to go out in OP with Dave if the weather allows us to fish, have a feeling its not going to be any better than today though

MCS since you said its RIP with those rattlesnake lures I had to pick up a pack and try them out, I remember you told me about them last year and I bought some but I think there were the bigger diamond back ones. Have to thank fstr for the Big EZs, they work well for him, I never tried them but I will this weekend. Not sure how to rig them for the best results though.

10" worms work well. I like the 10.5" magnum worm and culprit worms work well too, haven't used them but I know some other FL angers that swear by them.
