I was looking for something to mount my go pro with. I am a bank guy so I want to set it up behind me, I'm not really a fan of the head mount route. May have to invest in a tripod but I don't really want to be lugging that thing around with me lol. I have a back pack so maybe I could find something that folds up I could put in there, any ideas?

I told my girlfriend who is also the mother of my child that when we get married I am taking her to Mexico on our honey moon... She laughed and was like yeah right you think I'm stupid I know about that lake you are always talking about from the bass website. Lol I tried. But she enjoys fishing too so when our son is older I have a feeling we will be taking a family trip.

I'm here in Jacksonville and at spot A I have caught my biggest fish but spot B has been the most consistent as far as catching fish. Love spots A and B they are in my constant rotation... Those snakes that search this site to "steal spots" probably got a little excited when they saw this thread lol won't get any info from me though just A and B.

They also pay a pretty penny to get those 8-10lbs His buddy has the same shot at them for thousands less lol I'm taking that trip to Mexico in the near future though lol

I use a 7' M rod for my cranks. It's a Waterloo Salinity rod and is very sensitive I love it rod is normally $170 got it for an amazing price at my local academy

Had to go to Jacksonville Beach today so I stopped at Ponte Vedra for a hour. Was throwing a frog at first, still won't give up on it, missed one fish. Then switched to my crank rod and caught 2 fish on KVD 1.5 (some new color don't remember exact name but it looks like a Dalmatian with a yellow belly the name on the box was long). Met up with DS around 3:30ish at my golf course. Had a miss at the first two ponds but that was it. We moved to a different pond in the back. We both were throwing frogs and cranks. He switched to a senko and caught 1. I switched from a KVD 1.5 (Dalmatian color) to a KVD 1.0 in blue gill. Caught a small one hit it right at shore. Then same thing happened as I was talking to DS but this one was a big one. Threw me off guard didn't get her hooked right felt her and she took off. Then I caught one that was probably 18" this one hit it about 5 yards from shore. Someone called security so the guy came and told us we had to go. I started to give him the business then I stopped when I realized he was the cool one lol. We came to an agreement that the next time he would just give a honk and keep it moving lol. He is a fellow fishermen too so he understood that people are just being ******.

Man what a day! I've seen some of this guys other videos he catches monster fish! I would kill for a day like that, the taxidermist would have a lot of work to do lol

I'm here in FL and we are known for 10lbers. I am still waiting to LAND mine BUT I want to do it before spawn. Don't get me wrong when I get mine during spawn I will be very excited about it but I would feel more accomplished if I were able to get her pre spawn, time is running out. One of if not the biggest bass I ever caught, I STILL DON'T COUNT HER THOUGH (didnt have a scale back then either), was when I was in middle school back in NJ. Was walking with my buddy to our spot had to go through a bunch of woods. Before we get to the woods there is a part of the lake that has a cove and we see this huge bass just sitting there. He threw something she didn't budge I threw out a creme worm and she inhaled it I basically picked her up out the water it seemed. Was literally 5 feet off shore I felt like I cheated lol.

The one on Saturday I messed up and set the hook slinging my rod up, that one wasn't hooked right I could just tell. I usually set the hook to the side cuz when I try to set it by pulling up, like you would a frog, I find it rips the crank out their mouth. The ones today were to the side when I set the hook. The one that came off close to shore was my fault because she was hung up in the pads I let out slack which relieved the pressure on the line and hook. Reeled in my crank with some vegetables on it and watched her tail flap on top and swim off. The other two just shook it after a nice fight on the jump. When you use cranks is that how you set the hook too, down/to the side

Saturday I went out with DS and hooked into a nice one but she shook the hook on a semi jump lol. That's was the only bite of the day. Went out today after the Eagles game. There were tons of good games today perhaps the most entertaining was the Ravens Vikings game. They scored 5 TDs between them in the last 2mins of the game with the Ravens pulling out the win (MCS I hope u were able to catch that game while you were on your trip) I was out from like 4:45 til about 5:45 at this spot right by my house, I pass it every day but never fished there before. I hooked into 3 big fish atleast 5lbs got a good look at all three before they have me the shake lol. First one shook the hook after the first jump, 2nd shook me on the first jump, and the third came off when she was hung up in pads right in front of me. May think about switching out the standard KVD treble hooks since the big ones have shook them past two days. I landed 5 fish 2 were dinks and the other three were between 15-20". Still haven't got my trophy fish yet but have a feeling she may come from this new spot. Which is nice since I won't have to travel far and take advantage of the daylight while I can in the evenings. I am going to Ponte Vedra tomorrow morning and I know she's at this one spot, I just hope the cops don't run me off like they did to Me, czar, and DS that one weekend

d**n that's a nice peacock! Did you measure it, they count too ya know. I can't wait to get down south to target some peas never caught one we don't have them this far north

I had an allstar wacky worm rod 6'10". I broke the rod and took it back to academy and ended up getting two Waterloo Rods $170 retail each on clearance for $39.99. So I got 2 rods and roughly $20 worth of tackle for price of 1 allstar rod. I enjoyed the rod while I had it. My buddy took my advice and got him an allstar rod too and he likes it a lot. Now I use my Waterloo for worms and cranks and my St Croix for FROGGIN

I have a Berkley digital scale that I have had forever, may have been the first one they ever made to be honest lol had it since I was in middle school. I weighed a weight with it and it was off I forget by how much I think it was .7. I doubt each weight is exactly dead on what it's suppose to be but I may be wrong, if I am then add .7 to every fish I have weighed lol. I'm getting a new scale from my girlfriend for Christmas so I will retire this old one after I do a comparison when I catch a biggen

I have noticed the same when using the LCD screen and wifi the battery drains much faster. I need to invest in a few extra batteries
