Got a hot date tonight (dinner and movie) with my girlfriend then out in the AM to the same spot with Czar. Hope we get into some good ones again and I will post some pics (o yea leaderboard I measured her incase I feel like bumping a few people down a spot lol) I still got to throw up the pic of the fish I caught with the bluegill tail sticking out its throat and the lizard I hooked on the KVD 1.5. It has been a pretty cool end of the year so far.

They say winter throw jigs HAH, they say slow down HAH, they say it's too cold for top water HAH But fat girls love cake! Especially when it's sitting there right at the top easy pickings lol

DS may be making a power move though, I found this new spot I've been fishing with Czar and they have been killin the pop'r and that's DS's lure. He gets back tomorrow so if he still motivated for that top spot we will take him over there... Mutt tell Joe for a little bribe I won't take him there til new year lol (since your his father you may have to put up the funds for him. I ain't a cheap bribe though lol JK) that goes for you too Jacob lol

Rough it was beautiful here in Jacksonville today. The pop'r bite was on FIRE!!! I have never fished them and caught my first fish on them today. Had none in my tackle bag prior to the day I went out wit DS and Czar and now I have 6 lol

I'll be fishing tomorrow suppose to be going out with my buddy in the kayaks at this new spot I found... So I will be yaking and hitting the banks tomorrow hope to get some nice fish

Merry Christmas to all of you guys and gal!! I got some cranks, line, new scale, reel, and rod all courtesy of my amazing girlfriend. Today was all about Adrian he is 18 months and can kind of grasp what is going on for his second Christmas. His face life up when he saw all the presents under the tree when the day before it was bare. We got him one of those electric ride around cars, charger like his daddy has lol, and he loves it. Took him outside and he was riding around in it, may be a little too young but he will have it for a few years. His favorite was the Hug Me Elmo his face lit up smile from ear to ear saying Elmo and clapping. This is what Christmas is truly about for us parents. I hope everyone enjoys their time today with family and friends. Merry Christmas

Anyone know what size comes on the KVD 1.0 and 1.5? I keep meaning to switch them out and I never do, was going to hit up the store tomorrow along with a little last minute Christmas shopping for my girlfriend and son... Was suppose to go today but went fishing with my buddies instead

When I was out with Czar and DS I can say that I caught something that no one has EVER caught using a crank bait and I caught something that I have only seen on the Internet. First the Internet... I caught a fish around 17" on my KVD 1.5 one hook was in its right side of the mouth and the other hook was in the other side. I take the hooks out and I notice that it has a bluegill tail sticking out of its throat, it's a pretty cool picture. Now the rare catch... I was using the same KVD 1.5 (this is my new favorite color) and I hooked into a baby lizard. I felt bad because it was dead when I unhooked it, poor little guy. I will post the pics tomorrow afternoon when I get back from fishing with Czar, hope to get some more wild pics of something

Another thing I don't like besides not catching a 10+ lb bass every cast is when you get that ANNOYING PESTERING BUG that won't leav you alone lol. I just don't like vein bothered by flying bugs period but they come with fishing so unfortunately they must be tolerated

Whenever I catch a nice bass I always target that spot next time I'm there with the same lure but sometimes it calls for something else. An example of this my buddy few days ago missed a nice bass in the same spot he caught this one today 4lbs 6oz. He was using a frog and wasn't paying attention the bass slurped it and he didn't get a chance to set the hook but felt her. Then today he was in the same spot castes a pop'r over there and on the second twitch she exploded on it. Then same thing few days ago he missed one on a crank, I think it was, felt her hit and fight then she came unhooked. He moved around and went back to the same spot again like 30mins later but this time he had a wacky rigged Senko an caught her. He said she hit and fought the same so he figured it was the same fish.

Yea it's definitely not worth the fine the one time an officer is having a bad day and decides to give you one as well. Thanks for the FWC website tip you saved me time and money, was going to get it at academy and would have ended up buying something I don't need as well. Going to renew mine right now.

Yeah that's what I said lol. Funny I was my spot and this guy was on a canoe with his son and his daughter was riding a four wheeler around, and he had prior history with this officer. Apparently this cop is hard bleep and a bleep hole and would always hassle them about riding their four wheelers. He was surprised the cop didn't give me the business lol. This same cop arrested him few months back for making moonshine, he said his neighbor snitched on him lol. But I'm glad I ran into this cop on his good day all he did was tell me to move my car and he doesn't have a problem with me fishing where I was at I just can't park there. Going out tomorrow morning before I go fishing and I am going to renew my license in case I run into a cop that is not so understanding.

Apparently in FL cops can take your fishing gear and impound your vehicle if you don't have a fishing license. I told the cop he was full of it but he assured me he wasn't lol

Very nice trout! Went trout fishing a few times back in NJ with my best friend and his dad back in high school, never caught anything that nice before His dad was big on trout and salmon fishing we were more of bass and pickerel kids back then

My buddy told me about these. Him and his buddy went out to Rodman Resivour and were tearing em up on blade baits. I forget what brand he uses but I may try them out. From what I am getting from these posts is to get a couple because I will lose them

Jacob you are right about the whole fishing for sport thing, but losing a big one is tough regardless of this competition. I haven't been submitting any fish for this comp but its suppose to me a good week weather wise and I have from now til New Years Day free to fish whenever. That being said I think I will see what I can do this week! I will do like fstr use to do and put the date on a paper in my photos so people know these are current catches BUT I will only submit my fish if someone overtakes Joe... I have been secretly rooting for him this whole time even over my fishing buddy DS! Congrats Joe future BassMasters Angler of the Year!

I couldn't tell you last time I have eaten breakfast in the morning. I sometimes have breakfast for dinner, love me some breakfast food! I eat the Big Country Breakfast but I have sausage as well and my eggs are scrambled (with green peppers, onions, ham, and cheddar western omlet style but scrambled lol)
