  1. A - learn B - apply C - have fun
  2. I have never edited my pics or anything like that even on my Instagram page. I have an iPhone 4S that I use to take pictures and my only problem is that it never seems to do the fish any justice! One thing that iPhone users can do is what I sometimes do when I remember I take a video of the fish. Then I will play back the video later and take screen shots, like I said when I remember to do that I have good results in how the fish comes out. My girlfriend taught me that one when I caught a nice 4.5lb an she thought she was taking a pic but she was recording a video lol, then she took a pic (she's horrible at taking my fish pictures). iPhone users try it out it helps you do the fish justice
  3. Palomar just like reds hot sauce I PUT THAT ISH ON EVERYTHANG
  4. I'm still amazed by these fish man thanks for sharing!!! I have texted a bunch of my fishing buddies this link so they can be in awe as well, hey mods hope we get a few more members Do you remember what you caught some of these on? I'm just curious
  5. MANNNNNN those are some nice fish!! I have had my opportunities but just can't get my photo OP with em yet lol I plan to revisit this thread soon
  6. Frogs frogs frogs any type/brand will do... They are classified as top water btw
  7. Do we even need to say nice fish anymore? Love it Big-O!!!
  8. I haven't really noticed that but its interesting to think about.
  9. Mutt have you been getting out with your son much? I know the weather and the fishing has been tough. I have been getting into some fish but the biggest was 3lb 10oz. Funny a 6" senko has been the go to bait which sucks for me because I hate fishing plastics but that's what's working. Texas rigged and weightless.
  10. Yea last weekend I was catching all the bass and you were catching everything else lol crappie and catfish that was weird Got my frog rod fixed I hope they want some frog action! Gonna try that mattlure bluegill swim bait too if they are still deep that should get their attention.
  11. As far as a reel goes I'm in love with my Quantum Smoke SL25PTI, I exclusivly use this over my other 3 reels but as soon as frog season come back I will be back to my more beefy Pfleuger Patriarch
  12. I haven't used a snap since I was young and would fish for sunnies/bluegill back in NJ and I was using those eagle claw hooks with the line attached that had the loop at the top lol
  13. I got a Koppers Live Target Bluegill over the weekend but haven't gotten a chance to throw it yet. How do you like them? I exclusivly throw the KVD 1.5 nice cheap price and they are extremely effective catching big fish. If I go by that then this Koppers bluegill which cost $13 should catch me a bunch of double digit bass lol
  14. the waters that you are fishing will determine the type/color of frogs that you use. What I tend to do I that I try to match the color of my baits whether it be a crankbait or in this case a frog to the type of bait (frogs) in my area that I fish. IMO bass will attack something that they are familiar seeing so that's what I try to key in on when fishing and buying certain lures. But there are exceptions like I have this certain type of paddle tail/hollow body frog that I use and for whatever reason during the day/sunlight black is the key and at night it is white... And I have never seen an all black or all white frog in my life outside of the zoo lol.
  15. That's total opposite for me and my buddies here in FL. The frogs that we use we have all the luck throwing black frogs during the day and white ones at night. .
  16. I have some cheap diawa combo that I got from dicks works fine, so far so good
  17. Nice fish Shane did you weigh her?
  18. Nice fish man! It's cold here in North FL too but we didn't get snow like parts of GA
  19. Man that's some amazing footage right there! Must be in Cali with all those monsters swimming around
  20. Top Water addict right here!! Mainly frogs gotta love the top water strike most exciting way to fish
  21. LifeProof case is what I am getting. Never been a fan of the big bulky OB. Never knew about the life jacket that makes it float I will get that too, $115 for a case lol I guess that's better than losing my iphone to the water though.
  22. Now yours says 13! As you become more active and lend a helping hand that number will only increase
  23. Rebel Magnum in baby bass
  24. When i first moved to FL and my girlfriend was pregnant with our child she always wanted to go the shiner route. She would fish them and I would throw lures. Then after our son came out she caught her first bass on a lure, I believe it was 4 and change on a storm swim bait. After that she didn't want to use shiners she felt same way as me they are boring and catching a fish on an artificial is more satisfying. Only thing is that she HATES throwing soft plastics they are too boring for her. She much rather throw something with constant action like a crank, spinner bait, frog, etc. I'll never forget her first frog bass at night I was in the car saw & heard her freaking out jumped out and ran over to her and she was laughing because te fish came unhooked on shore and rolled back in she was so excited and she credited herself with the "catch". Then next night we went back and she landed a 5+ pounder with my help this time lol. It's great when you significant other enjoys your hobby as much as you do, when our son is old enough it will be time for a real bass boat!! I can't wait for those trips
  25. I like the BPS Boss Shad swim baits a lot. That's basically the only BPS item I use other than that I opt for the "name brands"
