It definitely is! Caylub I had a similar experience to DS few months back I caught my PB, length wise 24" but my reel broke lol, had to do the same thing grab the line and bring her in. It is definitely worth it and Academy gave me the $80 my reel cost in store credit so I used that towards a new reel.

Funny thing about Sheed he had the ability to be one of if not the greatest players in NBA history because of his talent and skill set but MENTALLY he didn't have it... Just got back was out for little under a hour. Had 3 strikes on a white frog, 30# braid, covering Lilly pads. Funny story I cast out to a patch of pads and let the frog sit until the ripples are gone, little technique I use with the hollow bodies. I texted Dsidle61 to see if he wanted to do some fishing this weekend and 3 minutes after that on the retrieve I caught this 19". Got her as I was reeling the frog in to recast she probably hit it about 5 yards from shore. I will let DS tell the second part of the story lol it's crazy how things work out. Jacksonville is starting off right between MCS, DS, and myself. As Jaxbasser said its most likely due to the cold front coming in. You S FL guys will probably have a good weekend too! how do you expect to fish? I can't cast, set hook, and reel it in for you lol But when you are good we are hitting up Ponte Vedra one weekend I haven't been there in months and I found 3 new spots around Bartram that we need to hit up, I only fished one of them though for a little bit with Sarah.

I use 30# power pro on my spinning Pfleuger Patriarch and on my Abu Garcia Orra works just fine. My only problem with the Abu is the spool is shallow so if I happen to get snagged and need to cut I soon have to replace the braid because it's too short. One time I didn't realize that it was that low I was using a Bass Pro boss shad and I casted it out hard and the line flew off the spool lol

I use google earth on my phone mostly when I am driving looking for new spots. Served me well when I was visiting my brother in Orlando I found two or three nice spots including one honey hole. Great app to have on your smart phone when on the go

couldn't agree with you more! I wish the video were more informative I am going to check out Mike's channel. That's what I usually go on youtube for to find informational videos not just people pulling in a fish and letting it go. Its funny some videos I have watch of 10lb plus fish being caught people have the camera running and always "claim" they release it but there is no footage of that just the catch lol smh

Last year I shut it down in the winter so this will be my first time. Daylight savings time is your friend but my enemy now that I have to be an early bird like you, will be dark by like 6:30p now so my afternoon fishing will be night now
