  1. what did you catch that 3" on lol best fish I've seen all year
  2. Nice fish and beautiful scenery
  3. Caylub I'm glad you have been pointed in the right direction. I too owe a lot of my fishing knowledge to this site and it's members. We have a great community over here couldn't ask for a better bunch of people, especially the guys over in the Southeast section I know we will be seeing some Bama HAWGS in the near future from you, especially with those "secret frogs" lol have fun man
  4. I have an iPhone and for whatever reason the pic the phone takes file size is too big so I have to email it to myself, google email to google email, and then it gives me the option to resize to medium. Then I save the pics to my phone and from here it allows you to upload them straight from your photo album. When I am on my lap top I go to tinypic.com and use the message board option (for size) and then just copy and paste it to my post. Hope that helps you out, I'd like to see the big ones you caught what did you catch them on?
  5. Lil'Gunner makes some good points You could go the route of catching your own bait instead of buying them. But as you said the casual angler will go for shiners that's why bait shops carry the. oppose to crawfish, the amount of people who would purchase them is very minimal that's why they don't carry them not cost effective.
  6. sometimes they just don't want what is on the menu
  7. Yea just slowing down your retrieve I have trouble doing that I am VERY VERY impatient but sometimes you have to adapt in order to catch the BIGGENS
  8. yea I passed there last night on my way to dinner and I saw cars but figured it was for something else... I'll be there on the 15th doing a little shopping
  9. Here's my weekend report Saturday I went out to my golf course after I got skunked in the rain. Mid day it cleared up I was fishing from 2p to around 4:30p. Caught 6 fish using 6" senkos (watermelon red and black with blue flake) and bass pro boss shad (blue gill) my St. Croix Mojo Inshore 7' MH rod with Plfueger Patriarch spinning reel, 30# Power Pro braid. Weather was in the upper 70's and clear sky, post rain. This 17" came off a boss shad. Casted in front of the bridge and it hit it about 5 yards or so after it hit the water. This 18" came on a 6" senko black with blue flake. There was a floating pile of grass and I casted few yards past it working the senko slowly. Once I got it close I felt it slam the senko, I set the hook and it put up a pretty good fight. Jumping a few time before I got it in. Today I found a new spot that looked, and proved to be, ideal for frogs! It was in the low 70's sunny and clear sky. I know there are bigger ones in there. I was only there for about 45 minutes and then I got snagged had to cut my braid. Was low so had to go get more, figures I left my other tackle bag with my other spools at my house. Was using the same rod and reel set up as Saturday... St. Croix Mojo Inshore 7' MH rod with Plfueger Patriarch spinning reel, 30# Power Pro braid. Here as you can see I was using my frog in Catalpa color. Ended up catching 4 fish two were 16 and the other two were 19" Caught this one in all that grass that you can see in the picture. Saw it chasing bait fish threw my frog by it, of course it didn't land where I wanted it to never does. Reeled in and then casted back out closer to where I saw it and then after a few twitches and pauses she exploded on it. This one I was trying to cast to a patch of pads, can't see them in the picture I took, and it was one of those "how the hell did I cast that bad" lol and the second the frog hit the water this fish slammed it. Put up a hell of a fight took the frog straight out to the middle and then jumped a few times by the time I go it to shore it was barley hooked, the hook came out the second I touched it. So that's my biggest 5 so far 19, 19, 19, 18, 17. The 20"ers have eluded me this weekend. Going to do some fishing on Tuesday in Orlando while I am there, going to stop at BPS and pick up a few things. Then I won't be getting back out until the weekend, no more afternoon fishing now that it will be dark by the time I can get out. I may try to pull a MCS, I like to call it lol, and get out early morning and take advantage of that AM daylight.
  10. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am the same EXACT way man couldn't have said it any better myself! My girlfriend has to kill a spider I won't even kill em out of fear I will miss and they will jump on me lol terrified of them.
  11. Nice fish man! I need to start throwing some fluke I've seen a lot of people have success I never really fished them much but I know they can be killer
  12. I'm sure your would have rather broke your rod then to potentially mess up your boat, so you can look at it as a positive
  13. Heading out now this clock adjustment messed me up lol good thing my phone automatically changes it for me. Going deep into the tackle box today when I get home sometime after the football games I will post the pics from yesterday and anything I get today. Good luck everyone look forward to swing some nice fish from whoever gets out today
  14. I found my soul mate lol When I am in Orlando I am going to hit you up we both have a heavy addiction to frogs. And I saw on your Instagram picture that you live the "thug life" GTA, 2 PAC, and BEER lol u r the man!
  15. I've been looking for something like the Huddleston weedless shad just ordered a few from TW... thanks for that info
  16. I just got home from an outing with my girl and son we went to the Town Center. I stopped by the lake that Black Creek Outfitters is on and wet my line for 30 mins. Caught 3 fish didn't bother with the tape measure though. My son is 16 months and when we ask him what sound a fish makes he smacks his lips. When I caught the fish his mother was like Adrian what's that and he smacks his lips to make the fish sound it was cute lol. He wouldn't touch them though lol eventually he will. I was using a bass pro boss shad, I've been having pretty good luck with these things recently. I'm going to go back out around 6 to an old spot I use to fish by my house and fish til dark. If I catch anything I will be sure to post Good luck to everyone who goes out today and tomorrow.
  17. Glad to see a fellow frogger having luck.. I see you follow my Instagram mostly all those fish on there were from frogs love em!
  18. Go to Academy like and get an Allstar rod I liked mine a lot until I broke it, car door. I took it back got store credit and was going to get another one but they had these 7' Waterloo Medium action rods originally $170 on clearance for $34.99... Can't beat that so I got 2, they are extremely sensitive I use that rod mainly for worms and cranks and when you catch a fish it's fun as hell getting it in They are opening a new Academy on south side blvd on 7/15 can't wait for that a lot closer to me, and hopefully they have some store opening sales going on. If you go to the one in OP text me I'll meet u over there and then we can fish some spot over in OP
  19. It all depends on what you are doing and what makes you comfortable. I use a 7' MH
  20. Yea man it was raining light here so I went to my spot 20mins away, I thought I had my clothes in my car so I woke up and hoped in my car in a wife beater. Get there and I forgot that I took my clothes out on top of that it starts to down pour on my 3rd cast. I was there ice cold in my wife beater drenched lol didn't last too long lmao
  21. Nice fish congrats

We have a bunch of good guys over there headed by BassinLou he brings it altogether so it's organized. Check it out I'm sure you will enjoy it if you choose to participate
  23. Man I've been wondering this too, I know there are probably some out here. We could start our own there are tons of Jacksonville guys on this site and off that I'm sure would be interested.
