  5. i just would like the reels to be abu garcia. I dont care what the rod brand is. I wouldnt be using anything bigger than 3/4 oz jigs on the worm/jig combo. Crankbaits wouldnt be no deeper than 20 ft. Is there any brand of rod out there thats preferred over others?
  6. Hello everyone. I need help setting up 2 casting rod/reel combos. I would like your opinion on a jig/worm combo and a crank bait combo. The rods i'm interested in are full cork grip handles. M, MH or H? I never know which rod-power to choose when setting up a combo. Could someone explain what each rod-power is used for? Reels I would like to go with Abu Garcia. What gear ratio? The waters I fish in aren't any deeper then 20 ft. I have $1000 to spend.

  8. I have had a lot of success with black/blue and black/red glitter jigs and soft plastics. The lake also has a lot of shad in it. I use a KVD 1.5 on Lake Marion that looks very similar to the shad in the lake. I can post a pic of the lure if you are wanting a idea. Hope this helps and good luck.
  9. I haven't fished there in a few months. Last time I fished there i didn't even bass fish. Catching a few catfish. Called a good friend on mine and got a little info from him. He has been catching a lot of bass in the shallows around the cypress trees. Flipping black and blue jigs at the base of the trees. Fishing out of rocks pond campground. Maybe this info will help you and your dad catch some nice fish. I havent been on here in awhile. Hows your back or neck? Getting any better?

  12. I have a few plastic baits ive messed up on. Have you guys found anything that takes the paint off the lure without damaging it? Ive tried fingernail polish but it messes the plastic up. Ive only found soap and water and some good ole elbow gease works but was wondering if there was a easier way. Thanks
  13. Ive been using a mcu someone recommend but for some reason it cracks up the white paint on the bottom of the lures for some reason. It only does this with the color white. He told me he had the same problem and gave me info on how to stop it from cracking. Gonna try that out. Just wanted to know my other options. Thanks guys
