When fishing in saltwater for my vacation i snagged a black bass on accident. I noticed that his jaw was broken. It was split open. I guess a fisherman was to lasy to unhook the fish and just riped in out of his jaw and cut through the bone. (assuming that was what happend scince I have seen that happen before) well scince it had a brocken jaw and i snagged it in the back i decided to take him out of his pain. Well i just wanted to know what would happen. Would the fish die or would he just swallow small fish with out using his mouth. Or does the jaw reconnect after time?

Vincedia, I also belive trash is the biggest peeve. I dont know why people think they have the right to leave there trash were ever they want. Its there enviroment and they live in it so why do they litter? I mean you wouldent throw your trash in your house and never pick it up why do it out side?

Here is a other one I got two days ago. I was trolling for spanish mackeral and 4 jet skeirs went right through our lines and snapped them all. I lost a really good expensive plug because of them. Im sure that has happend to alot of people.

I can disagree and agree with you. When I was watching the Feburary clasics they showed Mike Ike pull the rod as hard as he could when it was 20 feet away but the fish was about as high as his height and the bass fell from that height into the boat head first spit the hook then went off the other side of the boat (Then he had a tamper ) Using nets wont stop Pro anglers doing that because flying fish is faster then netting and they want to be fishing for as long as possible. So tell me how will allowing nets stop that? Also nets flick off fishes scales and dry up the **** on the fishes body that they need for survival. By the time it looses some scales. All of its **** is gone gets handled by a fisherman with dry hands that fish is going to need alot of energy to recover and not to mention being in a small livewell does not help either. Also there were times when I were fishing and if you miss with the net that gives them more time to spit the hook. Lipping is safer and have a better chance of landed them i think (put better chance you get a hook in your hand) I also agree with you that when you are fishing with a partner in a tourny your partner can scoop em up faster then you can lip them because you dont have to worry about getting the net. Just sometimes Its better to lip them and sometimes its better to net them. my 2 pennys (reads mat flys post right after i post this and notices that its called slime coat and not ****. my mistake :-[)

Junky on the shore but tactical in a boat and wading in streams. Other then that Im still learning but I know what to use in what situations.

How do you know for sure they don't have a license? 7 out of 10 without license is pretty serious poaching. If you didn't ask, how do you come to that conclusion? Matt. I know by heart they dont have a license. There is a lake a few miles from my house called "Lake Frank" and there are so many people that fish that lake that dont know a word of english and it looks like they are also illegal in are contry. And scince they fish on the paths when I walk back from fishing you can see more then 15 crappie (Marylands max fish reg) And there all small (though there is no min size on them) Also you would be surprised on how many people have additude about the license and think they dont need one. so STOP the flame please.

I just think he expects it to do all the motion on its own. When people say it wiggles all the way down it barley wiggles you have to twitch your rod and it will go up and down.

Just wanted to know. At the lakes I fish I can see alot of people that I know are not fishing with a licence and are keeping undersized fish or keeping them not in season. I would say that 7/10 people fish my lakes illegally. Im sorry but alot of maryland anglers arround here think disobeying the law is cool *sigh*

Anything is humman compared to what I see alot of saltwater fishermen do. They fillet them alive and there still jumping. Do what the canadians do. Hold them by the gill and on the tail and left there spin back to brake there back. It kills them instantly. I think thats better then drowing a fish in a bucket then the few unlucky survivers get fillet alive.

Any hook in a fishes mouth you should be able to get out. Worse comes to worse you might have to cut the barb off but you can always replease the hooks. If i do happen to hook a fish badly like in the guy i would rather leave the hook in there and belive that the hook will disolve.

I really love fishing from creeks because you can pull more then 5 fish out from under a tree. But catching dinks every cast gets sort of boring. I catch Red Breast Sunfish that can eat the largemouth and smallmouth im catching in these creeks. My PB in a creek is about 2lbs. But scince farm ponds get washed out and ponds normally have big fish you would think that there would be some big largemouth in the little pools of the creeks. i have treid almost everything. Under trees, Pools, timber, chunk rock, infront of rapids, Behind rapids, beds, rockwall but I cant find any ones worth telling people about. I caught a small mouth the size of a large minnow in Seneca Creek once. I know there out there; Just were do the hide in the creeks?

Nice crankbait there. I wish they sold stuff that looked as fine as that! What did you use to carv the wood? I have been trying to carve my own crankbaits with kneifs but it just does not work. Eh my dad has a sand drill but i look at that like cheating.

I personally would not thing it will work very well.
