I had some time to myself today and I decided that I wanted to go fishing since I have not gone in a few weeks. Well I never really cared about were I kept my lures and what they were in. I just have them scattered in a back room in my house. Some are in tackle boxes some are not. Well there was a leak of something not sure what it was and all of my crankbaits, hooks, weights everything but my soft plastics are in rust and smell like fumes (just my hooks and weights) also were they were standing it seemed to grow a brownish mold thing. I lost a good amount of good quality fishing equipment that cost a lot of money. Just a reminder to keep your fishing tackle in good dry storage. Looks like I will be having to plan a BIG trip to BPS This time I wont make a mistake and just leaving my stuff in little boxes were moisture and other liquids can get to them.

A little splash is good because you want the fishes attention. Just to big of a splash will spook a bass unless it is aggressive.

I used to troll when trying to find good fishing grounds because I could get a estimate on the depth and what kind of cover was down there. Now that I know pretty much all the spots on were I fish that is not necessary. Trolling takes out the skill on bass fishing and testing how much you know is half the fun.

Ebassin is full of to many ads. I never really liked any of the magazines out there so I cant give you a honest opinion. But why pay for a magazine when you can find all your questions online?

I'm a pitbull lover. I never ever had one but a few of the people that lived arround me have. There fun to play tug of war with because you can hold the string straight up and the dog is in the air refussing to let go. Because of alot of bad people that abused pitbulls for pitbull fights and to have a big protective dog gaurd there home they have a bad rep. You walk into any old backyard with a dog and he thinks your "uninvited" they will bark and chase you. Stop blamming the pitbulls and stop steryotyping. I know alot of you will disagree by saying somthing like its in there gene to be mean but If some one you did not know walks into your backyard your gunna not be so nice.

Sort of like a few of the pictures posted by other members only 1 hook is really needed. That one lure with hook in it resembles the slowest fish in the school. If bass are anything like lions they are going to go for the slowest one in the pack (this case school)

I have seen people "revive" big saltwater game instead of sticking them. I always thought that was because the fish did not have enough oxergyn in them because they have been out of the water to long. After I went fishing with my uncle for river Red Drums we revived the fish by rocking them back and forth in the water. My uncle told me that it was to get the air out of the fish so it could make it back down. For bass instead of sticking them could you revive em? I feel more confterble shaking a bass then sticking a needle in them not knowing I hit there swim bladder or not.

The bass wont live. I would say let it go back to the water and swim free. LBH has alot of things on why you should not have a pet bass scatterd arround in some places.

I dont like playing "hostpital" with the fish. They will be alright. Just cut the line as close the the hook as possible. Fish are really hardy animals it takes alot to put em down.

I would say females would be more agressive durring spawnning season and Pre-spawn then that means they will eat more and try to kill annoying fish even if she is not hungry.

The lizzards are best fished in the spring scince the salamanders spawn in the spring. C-rigged in a weed bed is like calling the bass for a free dinner. To bad its not spring right now. I would not fish them up north in the fall time though.

I always have wetted my hands before handling sfih. Its real imprtnt taht you wte hand for the fish.

Water or the air temputare? The temputare is droping in my area and that is getting my exited because Fishing will be a little better. Now will the water temputare decreese right away when the tempuater drops or will it take a while for the water temp to drop?

Yes I have. I will wade in shallow water to retreive a lure. No deeper then sholder though. I dont feel like swimming under the water. I will continute doing this untill spiked my a catfish or getting a rusty hook in my leg.

After a big storm rivers are always muddy high and move really fast. I was just wondering how long it takes for that to clear up? Im fishing a small shallow river but has lots of fast moving water. How long till I can fish it?

Some of those colors would be nice for a crawfish color.
