Rod Box Pvc Pipe...
I used the golf club bag tube inserts and those white plastic cutting boards from Walmart. I have removed the plastic from the rods after the pics.

Pro Qualifiers
I bought 3 and will buy more as soon as I can. I was looking to but some of the curados. My young son bought one of the pro qualifier and we spooled it up when we got home. He was wanting some company while he practiced his casting so I was hanging out in the yard with him. He asked if I would have a little casting contest with him just taking turns with his rod and reel. Within 5 minutes I had decided to go with the qualifiers over the curado. I love them.

Casting Reels
I just got back into bass fishing again last year and needed to buy rods and reels. Also had to outfit the wife and son too. I ended up with bass pro qualifier reels ....on sale for $79 and some very inexpensive rods ....9.99 to 15 average. I do have one that cost 39.99 I think. But found the cheaper rods at bass pro, Walmart and academy. Figured I would get 4 combos cheap and then buy the higher end stuff a little at a time. I still think I will upgrade the rods over time but will keeping using the bass pro reels. For now anyway. Like Mike said above.....just search and look around this site when you can.....a lot of info out here.

Navionics Chip, What Exactly Would I Be Getting?
Ft Gibson is one of the HD........I found it to be better than the supplied map. Has 1' contours...channels and creeks and other stuff. I have the south version and if you would like to see it give me a shout the next time you are in Tulsa or we can met somewhere so you can see if it is worth it to you. I rely on it to keep me in the channel on lakes....especially on Ft. Gibson.........that lake can be treacherous in my opinion.......flying along and all of a sudden in the middle of what you think is deep water you find yourself in a very shallow spot with stumps or rocks that can cause great harm. I was able to use mine at roadtrip this year on Pickwick. I checked before I left......if Pickwick had not been on this chip I would have purchased the chip that had it. Personally I will not run on a lake without it. Disclaimer: chip is not a substitute for reviewing other maps and using boat responsibly safely.

2013 Roadtrip! You're Invited!
Made it home today and already missing being there with everyone. Ready for next year already, too. Ghoti already provided a good narrative.........but he only touched the tip of the iceberg. Everyone that can attend next year should.......it is great! Thanks to Mike and Julie Siebert for being great cabin mates. Thank you to FishinDaddy and Nicole for your generosity of allowing Beckie and I to stay an extra day in your cabin. Thank you to Alpster, Road Warrior and Ghoti for the wonderful grub guys......it was great! Thanks for Procrafter for fishing with me on Saturday.........he put me on the fish. Thank you Long Mike, Roadwarrior, Alpster and Big O for putting up with us every night ..........pretty late on some nights. The 'impromptu' get together every night was very entertaining to say the least..........especially learning about TACO.............the 2 faced cat ;-) Thanks to Glenn and Keri for everything you guys do. It was great meeting everyone in person........you all are great people.

2013 Roadtrip! You're Invited!
Got some good news.......my sons 8 pm baseball game was postponed due to scheduling conflict I think! I don't care about the why.....just that it got postponed. Now I can get 6+ hrs sleep instead of 3 or 3-1/2 hrs. Will make the drive down much better! I guess it is just a sign that we were meant to attend the road trip this year.

2013 Roadtrip! You're Invited!
Think I have got my electronics fixed and functioning correctly now. I will get the boat charged up, cleaned up ,squared away, covered and all set to go in the morning. Then pack and load the truck by tomorrow afternoon. Attend son's 8 p.m. Baseball game .....home by 10:30 and hit the sack by 11 or so. Sleep till 2 and then hit the road by 0300 and be on the way. WOO HOO!!!

Lowrance Problems
Some how I seem to have 'stumbled' into getting everything set correctly. I had to leave the sonar network enabled on both units to get the bow unit to use the structure scan transducer. My owners manual states the structure scan uses the same settings page as the sonar. Thanks for the help........have a great season.
-
Lowrance Problems
I did a soft reset and that seems to have resolved depth display pretty much. But if I disable the sonar network option on either or both units......then the bow unit displays no source on the screen when viewing structure scan. Tried everything that I can think of. How can I get the front unit to use the structure scan transducer (find the source) with the sonar network disabled? Thanks

Towing Bass Boat With 1991 Ford Ranger
x2 on everything already said above. I had a 2011 Nissan Frontier and towed my 2001 Procraft 185 pro with it comfortably, but that without any hilly terrain to speak of. I thought it handled the boat ok. But recently sold that truck and bought a '12 Titan..............much better feeling towing it. The Frontier had a towing Capacity of something like 6500.

Thank You Bass Resource Members

Lowrance Problems
Things I have tried numerous times. Turn off network under sonar........still does not work and structure scan on thenHDS10 at the bow does not work. Appears network must be on both units for the bow unit to share the structure scan transducer.....makes sense. Navigated to installation and selected the thru the hull transducer for the unit at the console and selected the trolling motor transducer for the bow unit. This will sound dumb......but will the units display a depth while transducers are not in the water? My humminbirds did......as I recall. These are new to me.......I sure kind a miss my 'birds.

Lowrance Problems
Figured out that hide chart had been turned on.....that explains the white screen when viewing chart. But the depth is still intermittent and when viewing source for sonar it flashes 'in valid' for a few seconds and then the 'invalid' goes away. Does this on both units. Any ideas on that?
-
Lowrance Problems
I have a Lowrance HDS 7 touch at the helm and an HDS 10 Gen 1 at the bow networked. Been having trouble with the depth staying display remaining on the screen, it displays and then loses it, then gets it back. also, today the the chart view only displayed the waypoints on a white screen.......no chart displayed. I have the strucure scan transducer and a 2d transducer mounted on the stern and connected to the HDS 7 touch. and 2d transducer mounted to the trolling motor. Any ideas?

Trailer Wiring Adapter
I had to replace the plug when mine got loose on my frontier. I converted to a 7 blade plug and recpt....that worked better. Now I have a Titan and it still is working great.

Need A Trolling Motor
hould not be too hard....i did it ok and I am a bit challenged sometimes. just 2 wires to connect.......a couple of fasteners to anchor it down.........my motorguide instructions indicated I had to install a 50 amp breaker. was not difficult.........really pretty easy.

Upgrading Boats.
I do not think it is worth it. I actually looked into the feasability of removing the 2nd console........way too much work, or too much money to pay anyone to remove it professionally. I am going to stick it out for a while and then hopefully sell it and buy another single console. Good Luck with your search.

Upgrading Boats.
I can't speak to to skeeter or Yamaha ........but I wish I had not bought dual console. Unless it was like some newer boats with removable/optional 2nd console. Otherwise I will not buy another dual console. It feels like it takes up too much deck space to me. But I think my wife likes it.........most passengers are probably glad to have the 'protection'.
