The Winch, if I remember correctly has the infiniti break system like the STX

One thing I have noticed about the new S is that when removing the side plate you have to unscrew and move the pin to the right to remove it. Im not sure if thats an extra safety measure so you won't drop it, but my Gen 2 S and my Gen 2 STX's dont do this.

This is my guess too. I bought one thinking it would give me better sensitivity, but when using braid, it seems to hinder the castability. Also when using braid and a leader, it kind blows. I suppose if your using straight mono or fluoro it would be better. I will probably never get another one

If I had to stick with three I would go with the following: a 6'6"-7' Spinning rod in M with a 2500 sized reel. This would cover anything from bettle spins and up. a 7' medium casting rod with a low profile reel with a fast action with a ratio of 6. This would cover anything from a small popr to a 3/8 oz jig and work for cranking. Last a 7' Heavy fast casting rod with a low profile reel in a 5 gear ratio. This would cover anything from heavy spinner baits to jigs

If your adding a 2nd 3rd etc reel to your collection and have one already that is working, don't scrimp on price. Price does reflect quality. Bass Pro has the PQ for 100 and under that is about the less expensive reel that I would suggest owning. The new Revo S is bar far my favorite of all my BC's and like LMG said its about the least expensive reel they make that I would consider owning now.

I still am thinking about one someday. I like how they are marked for the specific app. My BP had them at 59 plus tax. The only thing that turned me more towards the Veritas was the backbone. The Veritas had a thicker backbone. I liked the look of them better. I found a dealer that does 80 shipped on the Veritas so the extra 20 bucks was worth it.

I have found them at Walmart, Bass Pro, Cabelas, Dicks, Academy and im sure there are others.

I'm really curious about the same. This time of year most of the boats in my area are docked as the boaters are for fun and not fishing. Also for what its worth, alot of videos I see on fishing docks, the guys are decked out in cold weather gear so I am guessing it works.
