You should join a club and B.A.S.S as a co angler or non boater in tournaments first. You'll be in all kinds of different boats. I am a non boater in Muscatine Bassmasters and fish in Iowa Bass Nation (Federation). I've been in Legends, BassCat, Ranger, Stratos, Champion, etc. By far, I like Legend and Champion because of how they handle on the water and space. Ranger Boats is pretty heavy, but thats in my opinion. You just have to look things like that. Good luck out there and be safe and sound!

During winter none. Spring/Summer/Fall. Everyday. Im only 23. I work at 4 am in the morning and get off at 1:30 to 2 pm everyday. Occasional Saturdays.

It's been a mild winter surprisingly still we got February to go. Basically, what I do during winter? I look at my 2015 locations for the tournament season and look on the maps of the locations and research them. Organize my tackle for 2015 season. Build jigs. Clean my reels, and fill my spools for the specific application. Hang out on Bass Resource. Other than fishing related - Party and hang out with my friends.

You live in IL in Quad City area?! Im 25-30 mins away from you. We have QCCA Expo Center. Last year we had some Canadian FLW speaker. He was worthless. Good deals on baits. It was boring last year. This year I guess Timmy Horton is going to be there this year. I'll be going to just meet him. It'll be a good time.

Your so right fishballer06. I used to play paintball. I used to play in PSP Chicago 3 times. I've gone to NPPL Huntington Beach in California. It's gotten so expensive. Before paintball, I fished a lot. Anyways, back to the topic, Fishing is not really my hobby. It's my passion and love of the sport. I, honestly, fishing all the way up to the Elites. Everybody has one shot to go. It's my dream. Right now, all I got is 2 man boat using one seat. Using on lakes and backwaters of the rivers. Its all I think of. I spend quite on necessities that I need for fishing. Good line such as Sunline Sniper. Why do I use Sunline Sniper instead of Berkley Trilene lines. It's all about of trust of the company.

Why I fish? Its my passion, love. Nothing beats calm water, at 6:45 am and blast off and seeing the big orange ball rising up. Just flying about 65 mph on glass water.

I started when I was 4 years old during Bill Clinton's presidency during the year of 1995. I kind of started natural. I fished a lot cause my grandpa owned a mansion in Lake of the Ozarks. Fishing on the dock, catching crappie, bluegill. Left and right, just catching them for fun and some for food. Then I gradually quit cause of the trend was going on around in my town. I started skateboarding and got pretty decent and quit cause I skated around druggies and I didn't like that and one day my grandpa called his daughter ( my mom ) said, Dillon, you want go fishing? I said YES, after that, I got hooked. Been fishing since, never looked back.

Thanks Buzbait88, I'll see what Karu lures has to offer. I fished in Dubuque pool during Fall State. Used alot of cranks, tubes. so I had a feeling it will be the same pattern.

I have a Iowa Bass Nation Federation Spring State 2 Day Tournament on May 2nd and 3rd. Location- Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin I'm just curious what does smallmouth bass or largemouth bass bite during Late April and beginning of May. I feel its going to be lipless cranking and tube fishing. Can anyone give me pointers, areas, tips on Pool 10? Thanks! Dilly.

Elites usually prepare for Classic after the AOY Championship. Some do take time off to be with the family cause the elites are always on the road. Some Elites work with their sponsors, designing baits, merchandises. Making sure the new 2015 boats in a tournament ready mode.

I always will have a license with me. I have a 3 year license. One in truck, one in tacklebag, one in my wallet. I check them each I go tournaments, trips and all. I've been checked couple times. They are friendly around here. Now, they know who I am now. I'll see them once awhile, they will holler then ill talk back and see how Im doing. Always have your license.

I love fishing in Iowa. I always catch fish no matter what. I've fished in the Lake of the Ozarks, Wisconsin. Not bad places. Seeing people fishing from Alabama, Texas, Florida, California, Georgia. They all hold big bass.
