White live target mouse 7.2 lb. white live target caught me alot of nice 5 lb + bass A few other lures produced very well for me, i had a great year in the 4-7 pound range.

For me conventional tackle i bring is jerk-baits some small cranks , jigs and soft plastics, spinners. They all catch. I threw swim baits prettty much all year last year but in the spring . I crushed bass in ponds with my weedless Hudd and the 68 special. The soft plastic listed above with do fine. I used fire tiger and red craw pattern cranks, slow steady retrieve(4.1.1) baitcaster on the outside of the grass. when it was bright and sunny i cranked over top of the grass and got bite A LOT. Also they tend to be roaming around , so when you catch one in a small pond, he was there for a reason and typically there's more bass around. say you catch a crank bait fish , take mental notes on where it came from and cast again or in the same general area. then you can slow down. also don't forget to cast from different angles at the same spot. hope that helps, GRizz

id go with 22-25 , but like every one else said the girth is the deciding factor

I fish pretty much everyday that there's not ice. This year my last day was on Christmas, the next day it was frozen over. Last year I fished from April 1st -December 25th. I say out of those 267 days I fished 250 days. that's about right. Also I'd say about 3/4 of the 250 days I fished, were 5 or more hours fishing but mostly on the North side of 5 I Kept logs last year for the first time. All the info i now have on my trips is awesome, just to look at for my self. Will be doing it again this year and recommend it !
