What a nice guy, sent me a spinnerbait. Finally got to use it in my local 2 acre pond, not looking to really catch anything, just wanted to see how it looked in the water. Well, it looked great and caught this little fella.

I use 6lb mono line with size #1 or #0 mepps dressed spinners

All I can say is GOOD LUCK! I have had very little success in the area around our cabin. Drop shotting and finesse baits have worked best for me.

Hey everyone - I am new to jig making and I am wanting to start very simply. I am looking for a finesse jig that is like an eakins finesse jig, with the 60 degree eye. Any suggestions on what jig is the cheapest that would be an easy start? Thanks!

A buddy and I caught around 30 fish in a "creek" that had more dry spots than pools. Only used Mepps Spinners. (Todd caught more and had the big fish of the day) Spotted Bass, Largemouth Bass, Channel Cat, Spotted Gar , Green Sunfish, Bluegill, Green Sunfish/Bluegill Hybrid.......saw, but didn't catch Long Ear Sunfish Nature is amazing. Kansas is amazing.

One of my favorites is the good ole buzzbait, but just like others have said - use what catches fish and what you have confidence in throwing.
