  1. Big-O does that. I guess its ok.
  2. That looks AWESOME!! When will it be available?
  3. Also, if you are going to get a new reel for this set up, and it does wind up being a baitcaster, I would steer you towards the Lews Tournament Pro. Of all the Lews reels I've tried, it is the best at handling the lighter stuff.
  4. Powell endurance at fish ranger for 150
  5. Dx 742sf and shimano cumara a 6'8m/f will handle everything including senkos. Powell 683cef will handle senkos, and if I really need to I can put senkos on my 744dx
  6. Roger that. That was my guess. The pq at 100 is a great deal. You can shop around and find the tatula and lews tournament for around 100 as well if that's something you're interested in doing. Great reviews out there on the *** but I've never picked one up before. The veritas is a nice rod, I just didn't like the trigger on it. My favorite that I've handled has been the shimano compre. Also, something to consider. At bass pro, there is a pq/carbonlite combo for around 160. The carbonlite is another great rod in that range and in the combo you'll need getting a great deal on both the rod and the reel
  7. Pq. Are you only spending 100 total? Or 100 on each?
  8. A medium rod? Give us some more info so we can help you better.
  9. Really depends on what you want to spend. 3 good reels with a small jump up in price from one to the next. I haven't handled a tatula but they get a lot of good reviews. I like the pq a lot. I tried a revo s and just didn't like how it felt in my hand for some reason... I can't really give you a good reason, just what it felt like to me. May be because it's white and that's never really been my deal.
  10. braid to fluoro leader
  11. This. I personally like a mod. Action rod rod for almost all my treble hook lures, but there are other rods I will just as quickly put the same lures on.
  12. I like the LC RC 2.5
  13. The one in his hand or the one on his leg?
  14. x2. If I can meet up in person, I do.
  15. Crank baits, weightless plastics (senkos are a great option), t rig plastics, jigs, and lip less cranks are some of my favorite
  16. It's probably not the mh you're taking about but my vote for those techniques is the Dobyns 735c
  17. Arv replied to Kevin Beachy's topic in Fishing Tackle
Throw is somewhere there are fish!
  18. I use braid to a leader 95% of the time and I catch fish.
  19. What are the power/action on your current rod? No need in running out and buying a ton of gear if it's not necessary. Find out if you like fishing first, then you can meet the bait monkey.
  20. A third vote for the 723. It's an awesome stick. If you want a little more power the 714 is also a great option.
  21. Can't go wrong with either Imo. I like lews because I can find the tournament pro for 150-160 pretty consistently
  22. I'd put more money into the rod it will be dedicated to worms and jigs. It looks like you're willing to spend around $300. My recommendation would be a rod in the 150-200 range and a reel in the 100-150 range. You could shop around and probably find a Lews Tournament Speed Spool for around 100-110 and fish ranger has the Powell Endurance for 150. That would be a very affordable combo that would serve you very well for the planned presentations you stated.
  23. I've been using a pair of Strike King sunglasses that I've been pretty happy with, especially for the price I payed. I have bad luck with breaking glasses so I don't usually buy expensive glasses anymore
  24. Lews Speed Spool would be a good option IMO. The BPS PQ is a little bigger, but may also be a good option in the price range.
  25. How big? What weights and depths?
