  1. I haven't had experience with that exact rod. I had the Champion 735 and it was an excellent rod for what you mentioned. Just keep in mind, the Savvy series is not known for its sensitivity. If that is a concern for other techniques you might want to use you might consider either looking to get the Champion, or another line of rods. If you're really only planning on using it for frogging and flipping/pitching I would not be as concerned and think it would suit your needs just fine.
  2. I used to have a 7'2 H/XF M1. I believe it was rated 1/4 - 1 1/4oz. From what I remember, this was accurate, although I preferred throwing lures towards the top end of the rating.
  3. Powell endurance at fish ranger
  4. Nail weight wacky rig
  5. Thanks! What rod do you throw them on?
  6. Will small framing nails be sufficient to fish this rig with a 5 in senko? What do you guys use that fish this technique?
  7. Imo, for the price you can get the tp, I would save my money and get another one of those.
  8. I actually bought some mend it plastic glue which, imo, is amazing. I take the worm off the hook before I feel like a fish will throw it off and replace it. Once I get home I fix them all up with mend it and I usually have a close to full bag. This goes for any plastic now too, not just the cut r.
  9. Mine is quickly becoming the Rage Tail Cut R worm. I can fish it like a senko, or swim it thanks to the tail. And if the tail comes off, I can still fish it like a senko. I haven't tried rage-rigging, texas rigging, or carolina rigging it yet, but I'm sure it will be great for those applications too.
  10. What rod/reel do you throw shakey heads on?
  11. I also like to use a hook
  12. I would also stick with the 3 power. If anything I might consider going down to the 742 as opposed to going up to the 744. However, based on what you've said I think the 743 OK.
  13. If I don't include stick worms, it's probably a toss up between zoom trick worms and rage tail recon worms
  14. All, and others
  15. The recon and 7in thumper are my favorite so far in regards to worms. I have some anaconda and 10in thumpers but just haven't been out much yet to catch anything on them yet.
  16. Jig - because that's what I fish everywhere Frog - because there's lots of veggies
  17. Used Lucky Craft Rick Clunn squarebill is my favorite. Other than that I usually buy Strike King
  18. 15 or 20# braid. If I need a leader I'll go either 8 or 10# fc. The hooks are not heavy wire hooks on the jigs I throw on this rod either.
  19. Another vote for braid + leader
