  1. I think he's just praying for you because the bait mOnkey can smell fresh blood! But seriously though, you def. need some weighted swim bait hooks, and an assortment of bullet weights. I'll tx rig with 1/16 oz to 1/2 oz
  2. On the contrary, I actually had one of my best days ever bass fishing when the cove was literally teeming with spawning grass carp.
  3. I caught 5 today out of a large pond. Only dinks were caught.
  4. Yeah I got some Zara puppies and something called a lazy Ike? Haven't heard of it, but it caught my eye.
  5. Nice. Did you plant the vegetation when it was a brand new pond or just when it was at low pool?
  6. I am commited to graduating from dinks to keepers for my average catches. Last year I was concerned more with just getting bit, as it was my first serious year. This year I want to go big or Go home! Guess I need to learn the jig..

  8. They do make 2 different sizes - 3.5 in and 5 in I believe.
  9. I think the OP was wanting to know what trebles are use in the BPS brand hard baits? In my experience with the "bargain bin" BPS brand baits, such as the cheap cranks and top waters, they all have horrible trebles and should be changed. When you can easily bend the hooks back with a bare hand, that's a no go in my book.
  10. I think its probably more of a confidence thing, especially with reaction type baits.
  11. The guy at academy said that the ethos rods were falcon blanks. Any truth to this? I know the casting rod is great already,
  12. I got an ethos spinning rod and a cheap ultralight setup for 60
  13. I have the academy ethos rod described above and like it very much for a $60 rod. It is nearly as sensitive as my veritas. As for the mettle reel that was on it, I cannot say the same. I mean it was a decent reel while it lasted (3 months).
  14. I have had soft plastics melt in the car. I would advise against putting them in the Plano box because the box will melt them much quicker than just leaving them in their bags.
  15. Im a 7th grade English teacher and football, basketball, track coach to inner city kids.
  16. Does pink work better in clear or dirty water in yall's opinion?
  17. I've never seen the mega strike product in major stores here in Tx. Is it mainly a northern based company? I really want some of the scent!
  18. 9 out o 10 times the videos y'all post up here don't even show up on my phone. Could this be an I phone thing?
  19. So basically, take pics of the lake at low levels, drag some type of bottom bait to determine contour, and focus on learning a small section of the lake that has bass habitat within reach o land? That how I summed it up. Thanks a million Red Earth.
  20. Would Murphy''s book be a good buy for the boatless?
  21. Camo is tempting jig meister. It would match half mywardrobe at least.
  22. Amber it is! 2 of mine were lost to dog chewing, and the other pair was left at the baseball field.
  23. And Red Earth, those stumps between the point and the grass beds sounds like a honey hole!!
