Fast Tip For Cranks
Thanks guys..great advice. I think I'll try and fish cranks with this combo. The tip doesn't seem too fast, and id it doesn't work out, I'll just sell the rod and buy a moderate tip.

Fast Tip For Cranks
Hey guys, just thought I'd get a few of your opinions on whether or not the black Friday purchase I made will work for my purposes. So I went to bass pro and took advantage of their $70 pro qualifier combo. I need a cranking set up, mainly for shallow cranks since I'm bank bound, so I was looking for a moderate tip. All that was left were 7' M/H fast tips. I got one anyway, just wasn't sure if the fast tips will rip the trebles out during the fight/Hookset. Any expertise on the matter will be gladly appreciated. Thanks BR!

Fishing Survey(Update)
1. 2 rods and my tackle box (along with a grocery sack full of soft plastics;ghetto, I know). 2. Inside trunk of car. 3. I might just carry something to drink. 4. One trip 5. It is definetly a hassle the way I am doing things now.

Flouro Line Advantages
Would you say adding the leader made the line any more sensitive on a slack line? And what color waters do you primarily fish?

Whats Your Technique For Flukes?
Silas, I too started fishing the fluke upside down, and like you had good results. They seemed to hit it on the fall more when it is rigged upside down. On the other hand, rigged correctly, it has a better darting action when jerked imo.

Durable Reel
Oh yeah, I'm leaning chronarch, but just wish I could get that sweet reel for 150. Same goes for the pfleuger patriarch. I need some mula for baits!!

Durable Reel
Smoothness when reeling, and something that can handle a lot of fishing with spinner baits and cranks would be ideal. Realistically, I would love to have a reel last me for around 5 years, but that being said, I am horrible with reel maintenance (excluding putting Abu oil on the worm gear if that's doing much of anything lol). I can learn if it's semi-simple, but I really am not good when it comes to small parts and putting things back together. Sorry if I'm the only guy like this on here, but any advice would be appreciated. The link J. Franco put up is awesome, but Looks like a foreign language to me!

Durable Reel
Great info. J Franco thanks. And yes, Tom d. Hit it on the head. I am looking for nothing at all Over 200 bucks. I should have mentioned that sorry.

Durable Reel
K Mac, I'll definitely look into the PQ on sale. Do you know when they usually go on sale? I need a reel maintainence for dummies book or something, because the inside of All reels look like labyrinths to me lol

Durable Reel
This reel looks great, but what is the price?
-
Durable Reel
Ok guys, I'm just lOoking for feedback from anglers who fish A LOT on which reel will be the most durable. If possible, I fish everyday, and I need a reel that will stand up to hard fishing. I was thinking a chronarch 200E, Abu S, pfleuger patriarch, citica E, or bass pro qualifier would all be good options, but I'm definitely open to all other opinions. Thanks, Preston

Drop-Shot Fun
I have the same question as heavy delux. Also, can anyone give me rigging directions/pics please? I can't ever get the hook to stay perpendicular to the line like it's supposed to.

Jigs And How To Use Them
My name is actually Preston lol. This post is very informative and helpful Nick! It seems that I'm good on my rod,and I have a few jigs (football head 3/8 oz) as well as paca craw and twin tail grub trailers. Went out today and was unsuccessful due to the thicksubmerged vegetation I was fishing. All of my spots have thick weeds, thus my jig always comes back wrapped in weeds. They do have weed guards as well. Booyah and strike king I believe. Is it possible to jig fish successfully with so much submerged vegetation? I can't wait to try out the techniques. Thanks for the help again

Fishin' In The Fall.
I really appreciate articles like these, being so informative for new bass fishermen. Nick86794, in reference to your jig trailer choices, myself just now having bought my first jig, would greatly appreciate any advice as to how you rig/work this type of presentation. Also, maybe the specific jig head types you use with them? Thanks again for such a great read!
