  2. i started fishing a freinds pond when i was in boy scouts, they took water from a small creek and let it feed and drain back in maybe you could use the marsh.when the bite was on it was amazing. they had bass, catfish, perch and trout. but the trout kept dying off, the water in nor cal would warm up too much in the summer. but the bait and other fish did great. also had craw fish in there as well. dont know if they came from the creek tho. sounds great, always wanted a house with a fish pond. good luck, keep us posted

  13. tournoment season starts in march, had all week off and spent three days on the lake hoping to get an early start on locating some quality bass for the spring. water temp in northern cal is about 50- 54 deg. air temp in the 40s , water is slightly stained. took all day to catch limits, found most fish off points in 20- 25ft of water, using drop shot. best fish all week was a 3lb spot that came off a crank bait in 15ft of water. any help. found bait fish in backs of coves in 10ft plus water, but no fish.
  14. work them near the out side edges of weed beds works great in mid morning. my fav color is chrome with blue
  15. id fish some spinner baits around the grass edges in the morning and pound that heavy grass with a dark colored frog when the suns up. work the frog slow and agressive. big ones cant resist a big frog.
  16. i tend to find them deeper, 10-25 feet. best results are water thats close to creek chanles. jigs or suspending crank baits
  17. our water temp up here in nor cal is still almost 80*, still catching 5 pounders with spiner baits on a normal basis in the morning, and on plastics along deep grass in the afternoon
