  1. Your rod may be the culprit. i can throw 1/8 oz lures with any of my bait casters but the line an rod is where i think light lures are best utilized try a med power or med light with a faster action and you should be good to go
  2. agreed cavitron buzzbaits are what i throw 98.3% of the time the other 1.7% of the time I'm thinking about tying one on

  6. Revos are a good bet at your price range and also a shimano citica is a nice reel plus you can do a few affordable upgrades and have an awesome reel for under your top budget price
  7. Fished seminole once two years ago it was early summer and i flipped and pitched the entire 2 days i was there lots of quality fish to be had there id wager to say the grass isn't dead yet and fish should still hold to it

  12. my son seems to have taken a sstrong like to fishing so if that's all he ever wants to do i would be happy but when he's older helping me skin some deer would be awesome lol
  13. I ran track played basketball. football. and baseball thru highschool and baseball in college my parents let me play whatever sport i wanted growing up i will probably let my son do the same.

  15. Okuma makes a big bait rod for around 130 bbucks its what i use for my a rigs and for my medium and large swimbaits up to 5 oz
  16. I have an okuma trios spinning reel i never use pm me we could work out a deal maybe
  17. Slower paced than i wouldve liked for the premier but all in all i think it got the ball rolling for an action packed season and claire in the woods was pretty spooky
  18. I am partial to black or all white also but the bluegill color seems to catch em as well if not better for me

  20. Been having good days so far with at leastt 10 bass a trip and afew banner days with 30-40 fish. to put the icing on the cake a lot of topwater action

Big bill you won't be dissapointed with your lightning rod series rods they are hands down imo the most sensitive and durable rods in their price range not to mention they are very light and well balanced and even up to probably the 90$ range. I use them more than some of my more expensive rods.

  23. So tough to decide between cavitron buzzbait black on black the spro poppin frog and the h20 walking topwater pencil from academy they've all caught so many fish on all of them
  24. i like the Omega flip and swim and also i recently got some D&M custom pirahna jigs from them and they are pretty good also booyah swims arent bad either lots of option out there
