I've had zero issues with M-F so far. That said Bait junkies CS is excellent, and I like supporting companies that take care of their customers. I'll probably be trying theirs next.

Just built my first rod based on the MHX HM 822. Haven't had a chance to fish it, its on the rod dryer right now. I'm already looking to do it again. I'll probably build another spinning rod as my arsenal is a bit short. Probably something a touch heavier than the 822 for shakey heads. Just curious if anyone has used either of the new batson blanks. The Eternity2 is fairly priced about the HM MHX and the Immortal seems to be in line with their RX8 series used to be. I will say from an aesthetic standpoint I think the Immortal seies look pretty cool, not a huge fan of the cobalt blue eternity 2. According to batson there might be unpainted versions available which would be ideal. Any reviews/impressions would be great.

I've been using McCoy xtra clear. My favorite overall line atm. Tremendous value. A more supple yozuri hybrid (another great line.)

IMO its a more supple version of yozuri hybrid. I really like it, low memory, decent abrasion resistance, low stretch, good sensitivity, and the price is right! I was under the impression that xtra clear and mean green were basically the same other than the color.

I really like Yozuri. That being said I read nothing but positive reviews about McCoy Mean Green and Xtra Clear. Its very inexpensive, and IMO is like a better version of YoZuri. Strong, abrasion resistant, and more supple.

WHy couldn't you sell publicly? As long as you don't call it a Senko or mention GY I'm sure you'd be fine.

People that say you cant get a fall like an original senko... I'm not sure I buy that. There are A TON of recipes out there that will get you incredibly close if not identical. Often times a subtle difference in the bait you made could be the difference in triggering a spike. Senkos use salt and silica powder, search around, you can find recipes that will get you a sweet shimmying action that weigh the same as a real 'senko' with similar plastic density/feel. Pretty sure do-it's HD additive is silica powder + softener. Makes a very close if not identical senko (no clear colors though, silica powder muddies it up a bit) and FAR more durable. A mix of the two is pretty good. Making plastics can be cost effective, but you have to be VERY realistic. Most people typically use what, 5 lures max? If you buy those 5 molds, some plastic, only the colors you really use etc, its not that daunting an initial investment and it will pay off. However it doesnt work that way, I have at least a dozen molds now and I don't use half of them on a regular basis. Its a fun addiction.

Pretty sure shimano is changing their warranty to 1 year.

Has anyone used this? Can you offer a comparison to similar units? How do you like it? Ease of use? Accuracy? How does the mapping compare to say lakemaster? 2k for a 10inch screen ain't too bad.

I bought it when it was around 50% off. Haven't put much time in with it yet.

They work great. Sometimes a little extra bulk is what the fish want. I usually just use a regular twin tail grub if thats the profile I want to throw though.

Been enjoying my xpoint hooks, on par with anything else I guess. Tru turn hooks have a pretty unique idea, seems to work well. Could be a touch sharper though.

On top? Down deep? Flutter spoon. Not too many people use 'em, provides a different look. And, it really looks like a dying baitfish fluttering to the bottom.

Its really easy. When I look back at all the plastics I purchased... I would have been better off buying 5-6 of my favorite molds and buying my own.

Flutter spoon could provide a look they haven't seen before, not many people seem to use em.

Really think I need to get one of those mini photo studios to show the colors off better. The finesse worms that look mostly purple are actually very similar to a morning dawn, and the use of blue hi lite makes them really 'shimmer.' They are mostly red/pink/ with the blue hi lite that is making them look solid purple in the photo. Same with the PBJ colors, they look so dull and plain, but the violet hi lite really shimmers nicely with the purple glitter and contrasts nicely with the brown color. I really like the fish tail worm color, I think it'll be a great shad imitation. Other than those colors standard green pumpkin is what I throw 90% of the time. This is wildly addictive, now I just need to find some time to get out and fish with them!

Are they still made in the US? I thought they were but may have changed to over seas production. I always thought the older ones were overpriced, and the new ones look like lews/abu/ etc.

For me, with rods its right around $~300. Despite what people tell you there are a lot of rods in that price range that compete VERY favorable with the 'high end' stuff; Loomis, Megabass, etc. Reels Im not as picky about, ~$200 or less. As long as its reliable with a good drag thats all I really care about unless I'm looking for a specialty application ie finesse bait caster.

Solid workhorse reel. I like TT, but if its not expensive typically it doesnt get reviewed very favorably. A lot of the people there try to tout their preferred products as superior to justify spending that much money. Case in point, Dobyns DX rods are god like over there... But IMO they dont fish any better than rods costing hundreds less. Still a lot of GREAT info over there, but take everything with a grain of salt, just like every other site.

I dont need another rod, I still havent fished my airrus x entity yet... But I'll probably be grabbing one of these and an airrus nano fusion during the next big sale.

Do you have any experience with the infinity vs the other 'higher end' rods? Loomis, Zbone, etc? How do the stack up sensitivity wise? Balance wise? The infinity 7'2" medium seems to suit the widest variety of techniques I do. Have you used both spinning and casting? Also, are you sponsored by lamiglas?
