  1. every shoe I get wet becomes a watershoe...lol. I wear sandles most of the time and YES when cold with socks. I have water shoes, but it is very hard to find comfortable ones for my feet.
  2. lol...Don't say we ran into docks...we bumped into them...lol But yes the way Aluminums are made today...You can take them out on Lake Michigan now. Tritonman and I run a Triton 176 Magnum that max'x out at 125hp, we have a 115 Mercury OptiMax on it. Beam is 85". They go all the way upto 19'4" with max hp at 200hp and 90 1/2" beam with dual or single console. So here they are for the big tourny's.
  3. I have a question about those inflatable ones....how does the automatic one automatically go off? Just like jb said, if incapacitated the manual one is useless, so how does the automatic on inflate if you are out cold? If you say it goes off the moment you hit the water...then don't go out in the rain with it....lol. I will stick with my comfy Triton Life Jacket.
  4. I drew a pic with it on the left side and either I got really bad at drawing or it just doesn't look right that way. I would say put it on Straight line with that type of boat, but you won't need to go any higher than a 50lb thrust. I say this only cause you have a light boat there, so that is enough power to get you around.
  5. Project boat...sounds like fun...take before and after pics, so we can all see what you did to it.
  6. If you have a good job(40 hrs) you could just make payments on a used boat. I see you like Tritons....lol They can be lower than a $100 if you look hard enough. Other than that I have a SeaNymph for sale. Yes Tritonman your wife will hate me...lol. But I need the money...lol. 17'6", two livewells, rod holder. It's a 1989, but sure was fun on Houghton Lake...lol.1990 Mariner 75hp, asking $3,000 for it, trailer and all. Have no room to store it. Triton sits in my garage and the SeaNymph is at Tritonman's house....lol The only thing is you would have to come up here to get it. But like Tritonman said...check the ads for any sale of them if all's you want to do is get a little bigger. You can find good Jon Boats for under $1000.
  7. Well thank you Tritonboats. Let me know how it looks...lol
  8. check out fishers of men I believe they are out there too, but we would be more than happy to help get you started also www.nbaa-bass.com then go to contact nbaa and email to Jim Sprague. He is the owner of this trail and looking to expand out west. He will be more than happy to help you get started.
  9. I tried to catch one while sitting on the bed and it was funny to watch it rub against my bait....like it was mating or something...so, since we couldn't get it to bite we left it alone. Sat right under the prop of a pontoon boat.
  10. LOL..so when do you sleep Glenn?
  11. I jus want one of those on my wall...catch it..measure it....take a picture of it...then have someone reproduce it for me... 8) ;D
  12. I too have used them in open water...just to see if they will hit on it. Off the shore line over rocks works well too.
  13. I think Glen hit it on the head....just watch the weather channel prior to going out. Seems simple to me...lol
  14. That episode was down in South America. Rio I think. I enjoy watching episodes from down there. What fighters and the size is just awesome. Hope to go sometime.
  15. I have caught many bass in thick weeds by accident just the way Glass_man said. How/What you do is let it drop into the hole and then twitch it every now and then. when you least expect it...BAM! you will get a nice strike. Use 14-20lb test when fishing in these too. ;D
  16. Live shiners? lol...not during a tournament I hope...lol
  17. I like Bubble Gum for worms and Pumkin too. Clear for top water, and crawfish orange for creature baits
  18. I used a Goby bait by Poor Boys Bait. They were awesome in Muskegon Lake, MI. They look like a big tadpole. If you can find them...buy them.
  19. Depends on how much you have. In the boat, we use the big plano's. We store crank baits in one, rat-l-traps in another, top water batis in another. Plastics are in seperate bags like craw tubes, tubes, finess worms, stick worms, and so on. Spinner baits in their own case too. a plano for hooks and sinkers have their own too. When I am fishing with someone else I have to size it all down to fit into my tackle bag, so cranks and lipless cranks together, all top water together, about 5 bags of different plastics I feel comfortable fishing with, hooks and sinkers are together in a box. I also pack suntan lotion and extra line. Good luck in your organizing.
  20. Does anyone fish a week night tournament trail? If so, what is the cost? How much % is the payout at the ramp? Is there a membership fee? How many boats? How many Divisions? ;D
  21. His other question would be....Do we need to get software for them, or do some have built in software? Also, what would be the best brand under $300? Great question Doogie....lol
  22. Hey Tritonman, I live closer to the Ohio and Indiana border than you do.....lol...I live 5 miles south of Tritonman...Hillsdale Michigan....he lives in a big village called Jonesville. By the way.....we are gonna need to get gas for the triton and stock up on it before it gets too expensive.....lol
