    I'm a Patriots fan
  2. Got a gift card to Cabelas for my birthday and decided to take a baby step into the swim bait world. I picked up a savage gear bluegill 5" deal. I think i can throw it on my H action rod, or at least enough to let me know if i want to get something more specific to throw bigger baits. I also picked up one of those StutterStep topwater baits...that thing looks crazy.
  3. I see a big difference in fishing for a species that is only available in a certain number of states. I don't know where the OP is from but me being an East Coast guy I would fish for trout over bass any day when i go out west. And as far as hiking an overcrowded national park, I'd have to say you haven't been to yosemite because there are way more trails that are off the beaten path than that are on.
  4. how it handles on the spool and abrasion resistance for me. The thinner braid i just don't like in anything smaller than 6lb diameter.
  5. valid point
  6. I expected something better....
  7. Ummmmm...to pee
  8. I'm also not asking for some to look at a product I came up with either...oh and the grammar on my post isn't wrong but it could be better. As far as capitalization goes, I was lazy typing the letter "I".
  9. I have the 8' version and wouldn't trade it for anything. Other than rods, reels, baits and PFD, it is right up there as far as importance. It always goes with me.
  10. the old rules specified the reels/styles that could be used and fly fishing gear was not explicitly permitted.
  11. if the Yamamoto baits are what catches fish then why not use them? I mean people complain about the cost but don't hesitate to spend high dollars on other gear. I mean a bag of senkos is what a couple gallons of gas? I don't use stickbaits that often anymore but when i do, i go with the GYCBC. If i lose one per fish, I am cool with that because, you guessed it, I am catching fish.
  12. Awesome job my man!!! that bass looks skinny too so after she fattens up you may break into that 7-8lb class!!!
  13. both offenses were awful because of playing against two great defenses. They weren't #1 & #2 in points allowed for nothing.
  14. Nice to see the Eagles defense wake up a little bit. They out a hurting on Bradford for sure. The first quarter was ugly unless you like defense then it was great. Now on to Dallas next week.
  15. there is no international fishing tour or competitions really. Not to mention the hosting country would have a crazy advantage and a common species throughout the world is not easy to find. Skateboarding and climbing already have international appeal and a popular, albeit niche, fan base. Fishing, not so much.
  16. I bought my helix 5 SI this past spring and after playing with it and using it all summer i am just now getting the hang of it and learning what i am seeing. I also did upgrade to the HD transducer and it is a world of difference. Take some time to learn it and make sure it is set up properly. I also fish from a kayak and frequent shallow water and have seen images on my screen of bluegill beds that look like honeycombs 40 feet away. It has definitely enabled me to catch some fish that otherwise I wouldn't have.
  17. You should have been watching them 10 years ago...
  18. definitely cool. I'd get one
  19. oh, that's different than the perfection loop i know and that is a different knot for sure. Looks like a modified version of the rapala knot.
  20. We did a float there once from Sunbury down to harrisburg pretty much and the smallest fish i caught in the few days out there was 17" and the largest was 22"....incredible fishery. I just wish i was a little closer.
  21. i am trying to get up there again with my dad for some fall smallie action. He bought a jet boat for fishing the susky and the upper Delaware. I am always amazed at how many quality smallies are in that river, then i would kick over a rock and see the hundreds of crayfish scurrying away.
  22. how are you tying a perfection loop on a bait? i use them for leaders in fly fishing but i can't see how you would tie one to an existing bait
  23. 15lb hybrid or 40lb braid for me depending on the situation and what i have rigged on other rods. And just because you said not to put more than one sentence, I am putting this sentence in here lol
  24. saying it and it being true are slightly different though lol
  25. I don't have experience with the boat but i love the idea and the concept. I will definitely look into it if i decide to go away from kayak fishing and get my son in the boat with me more often.
