i honestly don't even know what the actual call was when they made it because the brawl broke out pretty much immediately and the refs were, well, horrible all game. Correcting themselves about which team a call was against, changing hand signals for the penalties etc....

I don't think he was ejected for the hit as much as the brawl after the fact because Jason Peters on the Eagles went right after him.....My thing was the league came back later and said it was legal. 10 years ago the hit would have been fine and probably applauded by his teammates but to me it was a total cheap shot much like Hines Ward used to do back in the day.... I guess it is possible though that since he was tossed the league let it go to an extent too.... And i know many didn't watch the game but if you watched sports center it was on all over the place lol

I am not sure how it passed the rules committee as it states: Article 9 It is a foul if a player initiates unnecessary contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture. (a) Players in a defenseless posture are: OFFICIAL NFL PLAYING RULES 73 (7) A quarterback at any time after a change of possession When you watch the video you can see the player was on his way down and the play was over when the hit was applied, not to mention there was no way he could have made the tackle given how far away he was from the play..... I know the league has been "wussified" and i agree but that isn't the point here. I know if that hit was taken by brady or manning it would have been ruled differently for sure.... Ultimately though the league and the refs are somewhat to blame as well because you could clearly see it was not a pick but with the ability to challenge plays refs let a lot of things go that they hope to catch later on in a replay. anyways I was having some debates with friends and was wondering everyone else's take....

where are these reports on the tourneys? I can't seem to find them. I don't live up that way anymore but my dad does and he was thinking about joining the club but it is kind of expensive and he was curious on the quality of fish out there since it has been probably 20 years since he was last a member.

I am kind of surprised your boss suggested it but I guess everyone is different. And if you wouldn't use it than you shouldn't carry it in my opinion.

I have a good friend who is a bouncer at a few clubs and he is an active shooter, does the whole tactical shooting competition thing and he said he would never carry on the job even if he was allowed to. I asked him why and he said basically that no matter how good of a bouncer you are, things can go crazy fast and having a gun in the mix is usually a recipe for disaster with the types of crowds at the places he works. Not saying you should do the same, just relaying the information he shared with me....

also keep an eye out when purchasing if they are the super salt ones or the standard....super salt ones will sink more quickly which depending on the desired presentation could make or break the day.

Personally, nothing beats a fly rod for trout in my mind but i know that isn't always an option.

Push pole is what i know them as....i have one that doubles as a stake out pole for my kayak and other than your normal fishing gear, it is my favorite tool to carry with me.

so by 10lb braid you mean 10lb test not diameter? isn't that around 2lb test diameter wise?

I like 40lb on my citicas and use 30lb on my cranking set up with a bass pro PQ. Heavier seems to be overkill for me, even in heavy cover and any lighter i have some issues.

are you fishing the same spots? i know for me i like to mix up the lakes i fish every few weeks. It helps to keep things new and you never know what kind of day you will have in a new area.

So they lose double the amount of games on the road and I believe Wilson is barely above .500 on the road for his career.

I have a tendency to not drink often but make up for lost time when I do....I am on my last day of vacation in the Outer Banks in NC and let's just say i have done enough drinking this week while surf fishing, fishing from the pier and from my kayak to make up for lost time I do have a 6 pack of long hammer IPA waiting to keep my company tonight as i throw some big chunks of bait into the surf tonight though.....oh, and some gatorades to get my hydrated afterwards

Discipline does note equal corporal punishment or at least it doesn't have to.....and this to me, is child abuse no matter what his intentions were.

Already went to grand jury and he testified to how the marks go there. From what i found this was the second time through, the first was not pursued....and i am not a fan of corporal punishment at any age but it is even worse when a child gets hit hard enough to leave those kinds of marks when he is exhibiting completely normal behavior for a 4 year old that is where i have a problem more than anything and oh yeah, it was for pushing his brother in case you missed that part too. you would also think that someone who had their child killed by a step father would be more cognizant of how their physical actions can harm a young child.

And who are the parents of your made up "time out" generation? oh yeah, that's right the kids of those same parents you are referring to. There are so many other factors involved that singing out corporal punishment not being in the home as being the primary cause of people acting out it is pretty ridiculous. I would also wager that the majority of these "thugs" probably lived in a more corporal punishment home than most as there are a good chunk that come from lower income areas and corporal punishment is more prevalent in those areas. Also, if you think about the number of players that make up an NFL team there are what 60 people on each roster which is about 4 times as many as basketball, 3 times as large as MLB and i have no clue on hockey. So while you may see them more often, i would bet the percentages are pretty similar throughout the league
