  1. how does GSW or houston winning it all confirm anything? Oh that's right, it doesn't. Now you can go back to your little hole and stop trying to argue for the sake of arguing.... And I promise you I know more about basketball and have played at a higher level than you ever have but anyone who has read your posts can already see that isn't a very high bar to jump. So I will just let it go.... Cleveland and boston should be a good series and Lebron is playing like a man possessed even with the team that is around him not doing much. The GS and houston matchup doesn't appeal to me as much because it is going to be a three fest and that isn't the style i prefer but I will still watch for sure.
  2. I thought you said you weren't going to post anymore? Because the posts you have made haven't really provided any insight. NBA has always been top heavy, always.
  3. This is what i meant by draft. This is a buddy's boat and you can see the water line on it, just seems deeper than most but it may just be the perception of the picture.
  4. Mine doesn't have a rubber grip, just your standard cork split grip. As far as sensitivity goes, I was pretty impressed with it's sensitivity while fishing.
  5. you know it felt "heavy" to me before i was using it or mounting a reel to it but after fishing with it, it felt light. Weird, I know.
  6. So i had some amazon gift cards and rewards points burning a hole in my pocket and I needed a new spinning rod so I decided to go ahead and get one of the 6'10" MXF spinning rods that i paired up with a stradivarius FJ 2500. At first glance i wasn't sure I'd like the handle and it seemed a bit tip heavy but aesthetically i really liked it with the matte black finish. I plan on using this rod as my weightless soft plastics set up. One thing i really liked is the guides as they seem really stout. Fishing from a kayak, my rods are always being moved around and banged on the boat more than a regular boat which i think is the reason i have 2 rods with busted guides. I got to use it yesterday and as it turns out, skipping flukes into recently flooded areas and under docks was the ticket. The rod performed very well and i think the XF action made more solid hooksets than my MF rod i have been using (my MXF rod has a broken guide). I ended up catching 10 all in the 15-19" range and chunky. The rod performed flawlessly an I am contemplating trying out one of the bait casting models as well. In the price point i think it is a solid contender
  7. My goal is to analyze the laydown and determine all the locations that a bass may be sitting and present a bait to each one of those locations. Also don't forget to fish the deep part under the water that you can't see. Some laydowns extend way out into the water and that is usually where i catch my fish.
  8. Coaching has been poor for a while now but everyone gave him a pass because of the previous GM tanking. What i have seen is a lack of adjustments, poor substitution patterns and the inability to gameplan based on the players on the roster. I just hope we win a game instead of being embarrassed for another game.
  9. Sixers are done. Their lack of athleticism, other than Embiid and Simmons, and lack of coaching and the ability to make adjustments has killed us. I've said it from the beginning that the team is young and the coach is average at best but so many people were all hyped after a 16 game win streak against sub .500 teams. I just hope we can win at least one game...
  10. A pedal drive boat would be my last choice for kayaking a river unless it was deep and no risk of hitting the bottom. Also depending on the pedal drive chosen, I am thinking hobie PA's here, the boat itself drafts pretty deep even without factoring in the drive fins.
  11. Mirage Drive is a pedal drive so not sure what you are meaning unless you mean mirage drive versus all other pedal drives out there. All parts that move wear out over time. The jury is still out on all the recent additions to the pedal drive market so really the only long term durability tests you have are the hobie and the native. Both, from what i have read and seen are pretty durable and parts don't wear out super quickly. I am sure some others will chime in with their experiences as well
  12. That loss by the raptors may really mess with their psyche too...i think they have been swept by cleveland the past few seasons.
  13. He was actually denied quite often, more than half of his career he never even had the chance to win it cause he never got there. Anyways i am ticked at the lack of effort the sixers put out there tonight. I figured they would be rusty after nearly a week off but i think they listened to all the sports talking heads and thought they were better than they are. The lack of effort was appalling and even though Boston shot lights out, their effort on defending the perimeter was atrocious.
  14. What boats were they recommending? Usually shops are going to push boats that are best for their specific waters too so don't be too cynical about their recommendations. I wouldn't get anything but a SOT for the uses you are mentioning.
  15. one of my first memories of smallmouth fishing my dad took me on a guided trip on the susquehanna with none other than bob clouser. all he used, when not fly fishing, was a round jig head and a small sassy shad. he said you don't need anything else and he was right....
  16. Nose hooked 3-4" stickbait of your choice in some green hue. A close second are confidence baits finesse jogs or their dragging heads with a craw bait of some sort in green or blue.
  17. I haven't bought a new reel or rod in quite a few years but i am on the fence right now as i have two spinning rods with broken eyes that I like but i am kind of wanting to try something new. Now keep in mind also that money is a big factor for me as i decided to change careers to become an elementary school teacher (best decision ever) and took a pretty substantial pay cut so my expendable income isn't what it once was. I am ok with it though because i bought a bunch of stuff right before i switched
  18. Not a fan of braid on walking baits as i always seem to get the front treble tangled up. I use 15lb yozuri hybrid myself.
  19. this is just typical though of jordan fans. I brought up the statistics and they are downplayed or qualified. A game winning shot is a game winning shot, period. and yes, MJ did hit a game winner in college in what his sophomore year? Lebron was leading his NBA team to a 42 win season instead. Hardly a comparison....
  20. I don't intentionally kill anything if at all possible with the exception of black widows around my house, having a toddler i just feel better about getting rid of them. as far as the kids go, it is what it is and they weren't taught to respect nature and the animals in it but i am guessing this won't happen again.
  21. Pretty sure 3 of Lebron's were in eastern conference finals games and I only remember one of jordan's in the finals against Utah. I guess i will have to look it up
  22. He has done it a lot in his career...He got away with a goaltender though but they also missed the out of bounds call the previous play so it all evens out.
  23. I am feeling a 15+ point win for philly today even with Miami playing bully ball
  24. 10' leader on a fly rod with a slow sinking spider should do the trick, or at least it has for me on many occasion.
