If they were spawning you would know it. They get crazy fluorescent green colored. I am pretty sure they spawn around the same time as Bass or close to it.

Sad that people kill them for no reason. They are an awesome sport fish that has been around since the time of the dinosaurs.

I would bet the difference in length of those two rods wouldn't even be noticeable. You also have to measure where the actual length comes into play as I have seen some rods of different lengths have virtually the same length of rod from the reel seat to the tip. In theory a longer rod will help you get better leverage for a hookset and keep them up on top when reeling them in.

Who cares if they are mounting it or eating it, it is the same end result. Just because you can justify it one way and not the other doesn't make the end result change.

If you use cam lock straps (not ratchet) you will know how tight they are. You don't need to cinch them down to the point of deforming the boat. As far as front and rear goes, most cars have a tow point at the front that you can use to tie them down. I always used one of the yakima bow and stern tie down deal when i had to worry about that. Also depending on your cross bar spread, you may not even have to worry about using bow and stern tie downs. I always go buy as only as the straps are more than a third of the length of the boat apart then bow & stern tie downs aren't needed. I know people will disagree and that is fine but with around 3 feet extending past the cross bar on a 12' kayak you won't have to worry about bow lift. As far as extended trips, a resounding yes and they can hold at highway speeds. I have thousands of miles cartopping a kayak at highway speeds and whenever i stop i check them and never had to tighten.

I ave the yozuri hybrid on all my bait casters that don't have braid. I will also echo the need for the KVD one conditioner as it helps a lot with manageability.

Road cyclists are the absolute worst on that for sure. I have similar experiences but i don't ride with a club. Nothing better than running into those types on a ride and they ask if they can ride along for a while and when they are in the front you can tell they are working hard but when it is your turn you turn it up even more

Add me to the lay the paddle across your lap group as well. it has never gotten in the way for me as it is far enough back towards your waist to not be in the way. I even grab it and make paddle strokes with one hand as needed while fighting fish. It just takes some time to get used to how you are going to do it.

If it isn't against the pond owners wishes then i don't see a big deal. I mean if you are easily catching 10 5+lb bass an outing then it can obviously produce large fish. That fish has already spawned a lot of times by now. As far as being mad, that is up to you. I have other things to get mad about myself.

depends on your purpose. Are you looking to keep your catch fresh or just hold some food and junk for the day. Also tank well consideration is a factor too. I just have a cheap soft sided cooler and the few times i use it, it works fine. Just freeze some water bottles and let them keep everything cold and then you can drink them throughout the day. I personally don't like to have additional weight so i don't usually carry anything that needs refrigeration unless I know i am gonna be out for a long (10+hour) day and a long paddle.

it is how it has always been though. Usually one conference has a few teams that are capable of winning it all and the other has maybe 1 or at most 2.
