  1. That's unlikely considering its a small family owned shop that does well with what they have going on between being the only specialized bass fishin shop around and they're tournament trail. They may however become associated with tackle warehouse for product and sponsors.
  2. Shouldn't effect your catch there is tournaments in Winni constantly but there is a healthy enough population that it doesn't matter. As for where to go. There's so mny places where are you launching from? Bass will be in summer mode so I would target sunken islands and humps with deep water near by. Also boulder fields and boulder/rip rap banks as well as flipping and pitching docks ESP in the marinas. A good bet depending in where you launch wod be wolfeboro bay and the public docks. Also you can find tons of fishing reports and tournament results for winnipesaukee. Newenglandbass.com had some reports and tourney results. Good luck. Or me know how you do ill be fishing tuftenboro neck at barbers pole and cow island in 2 weeks
  3. So the other day I snagged a crankbait with 10lb flouro line. This was a month old abu Garcia hank Parker spinning rod. Granted its a cheap combo and cab be replaced for $50 I got it because I'm tight on cash right now but needed another spinning rod for lighter smallmouth applications. I love abu Garcia and use them almost exclusively but this rod has me bummed out. I'd think 10lb test would snap before the rod. I've heard of veritas snapping but my veritas has held up except for the tip guide which the insert fell out but that's an easy repair. This rod snapped in 2 at the second Guide down from the top and they want all kinds of stuff for a warranty replacement it's like they almost ask for so much as to discourage u from bothering. Has anyone else had rod snap and how did the warranty work?
  4. There's a lot online in terms of tournament results. What's state

  10. Has anyone used these? Picked up several packs at walmart in the green pumpkin color and they have been killing it for me. Have them rigged on a keitech arky jig 1/4 oz. and have also tried them on the bitsy jig. They have worked awesome on both
  11. You will have am easier time learning on one with more bearings. Smoother gears and an anti backlash system. I learned with a pinnacle balance. And it was difficult ur to te poor quality of it. I did find putting the baitcastig reel on a 24inch ice fishing rod allowed me to practice feathering the spool and using a gentle casting technique easier. With the longer rod I wanted to chunk te practice plug a mile and made a mess o the spool. The short rod I nailed the thumb down as well as using the wrist and got a basic pitching technique down too. As for a decent cheap combo. I fish almost exclusive Abu Garcia. And the black max and pro max are both available at walmart for under 80 bucks
  12. There is a reason you're finding them junked along the shore.
  13. I had a great day Saturday pulling Largies out from behind the overflow dam at beave lake in derry. 20. 3/16oz. Bitsy bug jigs alternating between green pumpkin rage chunks and the bitsy bug crawfish by strike king which was made for this jig. They Have been a constant producer for me this time of year on lake massabesic in the north east which Is about 55 degrees. I've been fishing a rocky flat with mostly softball sized rocks with the scattered boulders close to where te lake turns to softer bottom.the flat is from the bank out to about 10 feet where I've been fishing
  21. Yea the football and small plastics is what I'm using its just very snaggy I have been trying just to tick the top of each rock and it has been producing but like I said I'm losing a lot of jigs. I'm going to was out there today so I will be trying tubes a spinnerbait or too and if those fail Texas rigged plastics. Weightless stick baits and the guarantee catch for me there is a 3/16 bitsy bug jig in green pumpkin w matching rage chunk
  22. The portion on te lake I've been targeting is very snaggy I've lost many lures the past few days basically anything on the bottom eventually hangs up in rocks. It's hard to feel my bait with the wind tugging my line
  23. Up in the north east the wind has been ripping and the jig is doing alright but there must be something better? Anyone have advice?
  24. I've been fishing the northern bank over near the public launch and landed a smallie with quite the belly on her 2 days ago moon phase was at 95%. Does anybody know a different area the spawn takes place on. Massabesic. I have quite a few different maps of the lake as well as my navionics map so simply saying a flat is too broad. Anyone know about the shoreline where the park is near the circle. Or the shoreline tht runs alongside 121?
