Nashua Smallies
Behind margaritas there's the bottom of the dam some very aggressive smallmouth most are small I've caught a couple over 2 but the fight in those little guys is worth it every time. I had good luck last year with a 1/4 ounce balljig and junebug grubs casted up stream and floating it down w the current swimming it back. They usually hit along the rip rap just as you change direction parallel to the bank and start retrieve. Today however I caught a few w tx rigged 8 inch black jelly worm bounced on bottom and my biggest today on 3/8 brown football jig w matching havoc twin tail. Anyone else fish there? What do you use?

Mystic River
The lead I am not sure of I don't know how they enforce that for tournaments. Yes if you're worki he river and can cut to the Charles it's the lower however the river is quite low right now and the mystic river is not very deep at normal levels anyways it's very urban running through thick city areas. However the lower mystic itself is a great lake with lots of bass main forage being shad alewives blue back herring. This time of year anything from 3-6 inches would be typical.the lower mystic lake is fairly deep although not as deep as the upper mystic lake. 60-70 feet is probably max depth Obviously in front of the Dam is productive especially as the wind tends to blow towards the spillway and that northeast bank. They're is also a few docks looking at the dam to the left as well as a nice pocket to the right with good vegetation. As you work your way from that bay along the shoreline closest to mystic parkway back towards the river they're are many laydowns and overhanging trees. I've had good luck throwing jigs to them black and blue with black and blue chunks or other craw type trailers as well as square bille cranks into them. As you get closer to the river they're is a point that continues underwater that is always productive swimming baitfish imitations over and bumping bottom now as you head in the channel facing the river entrance the creek channel runs along you're right hand bank Again plenty of laydowns and underwater structure. If you headed along that same bank in the opposite direction there is a real steel drop back in he main lake to the far northeast corner of the lake exact distance you will use your electronics. There is a pretty well defined creek channel that runs the distance of the lake from spillway to bridge by river at his time of year if you can locate that creek channel you will have your limit and start culling early. Hope this has helped

Hook Size Help On A Drop Shot.
I like the Gammys and love the new vmc spinshots. Theyre quick and easy I tie the top of the swivel hook to my main line then I have 8lb flouro I tie to the bottom of the swivel hook cut to whatever length I want my hook from the weight and then slip on my weight. Theyre also decently priced and can be found everywhere even Walmart. 1/0 or sometimes 2/0 gives you a little extra room for hookset

Lure Selection For Snag Filled River
Weightless tubes and soft jerks like flukes. My favorite is bass assassin shad assassin in albino w blue back. Perfectly matches minnows Chubs shad blue back herring Alewives. 5 inch version is most productive for me although look around Nd see the size of ur baitfish. Other than that patience fishing from shore is tough you have to wait for the fish and then once there is one in ur vicinity you have to draw its attention and generate a strike. Keep throwing it all you'll get better at avoiding snags although loosing baits are part of the game pro amateur starter it happens you just learn to deal

Best/most Realistic Craw
Yum craw bug has 2 sizes and a nice variety of colors they work awesome here in the north east on river smallies match the hatch with size and color options and you have a d**n near real craw. It's hollow body so tube jigs tuck in them nicely and on skitter retrieve on bottom the rubber body bounces and kicks erratically along as a real craw would. When you to a small piece of rock or structure pull lightly as to allow the claws to raise up in defense position

Northern Ma Southern Nh Spots
A couple spots in s nh one is wash pond in hampstead. It's a small pond about 100 acres. Tons of decent bass smallmouth and largemouth You put a couple hours in on the water and you will have a decent stringer avg lm is about 1.7lbs good healthy fighting fish. Also years back the nh state am record was caught there along the rocks at wash pond Rd on the west bank. A small pond that connect that pond and big island pond another great fishery wih all types of structure called shop pond only about 30acrea some hawgs in there as well I've pulled some 5lber from there just had a weed management treatment done so fish may be off but black blue jigs w craw trailers will do it at those places. Also massabesic lake in Manchester and auburn is a great bass fishery in s nh. Lots of good info on the web about massabesic Charlie Moore has done some shoots for his shows on it as well. Fish and game is all over here though it's Manchesters water supply for drinking so no wading hope that helps you and your dad. Let me know how it goes

Salmon Brook In Nashua
For a while last fall I fished here daily there are a few bass hidden with in but mostly a lot of juvenile sized carp. I've seen them swarm by the hundreds bread crumbs tossed to the ducks I've also caught some on dough balls and even had them hit top waters while shooting for bass. The bass hangout on the ends of the pond where the reeds are aswell as the creek that heads towards main st. Also seen a few bald eagles perched in the pine trees at the park
