  1. Does anyone have a map or diagram picture? Or maybe know. Different forum that had one
  2. Yes there 2 in Bedford and another in Merrimack. If you get to river rd in Bedford which is the same as second st in Manchester you'll go past the Macy which should be on your left. You'll go under the over pass past the Mini of Bedford then you will be looking for a light after target and lowes. It'll be a left hand turn onto Hawthorne dr. Then a left onto Station rd it's a dirt rd that will go back under the overpass and at the end to the right there is a gravel ramp. Fairly steep for backing in a trailer but a carry in no problem. The other is just past Hawthorne. U stay on south river rd. and about 1/2 mile past Hawthorne you'll see a road on ur left called Moores Crossing. At the end there's an opening you'll go left o the tracks and right before the bridge a trail to your right so u can put in just behind goffs falls. Good walleye and smallmouth right there.
  3. Yes I'm aware of that more seeing if some one knew specific features like what kind of points or coves or channel or flats
  4. This time of year I know that I need to be looking for flats that are close to deep water. On a map what kinds of things should I keep my eye out for I use contour maps like n avionics and fishing hotspots. If anyone has pics or diagrams of specific area I want to look for that would also be helpful
  5. I've been fishing at this spot on the Merrimack river called goffs falls. It' starts at an old bridge with cement and steal pillings. It has large rocks some that are out of the water and lots that are under. Right now water is high and most rocks are under but there are some tree sticking out. The water runs fairly quick and at the bottom where the riffle stops I always catch a lot I walleye when targeting smallmouth. There is also a large rockpile where an old bridge used to run underwater. Where should I be fishing this run for SmB. At the top by the pillings. In the main riffle? On the sides? At the bottom where I catch the walleye. Help me out. Also what will work best here for bait and preso
  6. I got some mepps agalia and blue fox flash to try out in the Merrimack river for smallmouth any tips or advice? Has anyone had luck with these. Before now I always thought these spinners were for trout I used the other spinnerbaits and had luck on those I this river. Caught some walleye on them oo
  7. New summer home this year in tuftenboro just when I got to know my old spot at umbrella point In wolfeboro we move. Anyways the new spot is on Barber Pole. Over by cow island I will be targeting small mouth. Who knows the area what works baits presentations. I need as much help as I can get. I do have navionics hotmap as well has hotspots fishing maps to dissect the contours and topo. What's the bottom like over there?
  8. Horn pond in Woburn ma has great bass fishing also in Medford u have the mystic lakes and spot pond and spy pond are also all good bassin
  9. Quantum guys and reel techs I was given my uncles quantum baitcastig reel looks to be from the 80s maybe early 90s. It has the push button to the right of the spool As opposed to the thumb bar directly behind the spool like the newer ones I am used to. I am an avid fisherman and use almost exclusively baitcaster a but I can't get this one to cast more than a couple feet. It seems that the spool is getting stuck has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have an idea as I what might need to be done?
  10. How about a YUM crawbug in blue on a blk/blu sk bitsyjig. These are absolutely killer. The crawbug is hollow so I get a jig that has a rattle chamber under the hook shank. I then cut the very tip of the crawbug tail off. And rig it on the hook so tht the rattle chamber fits inside the hollow body. U then have a very lifelike craw rig that even makes the click noise that real craws make every time you move it.
  11. I picked up some 1oz booyah boo jigs at northern bass supply co on clearance for river fishing in heavier current or smallies. They seemed to do well the water didn't push them around as much and they held bottom well. My question is what other presentations do you all use heavier jigs for? I like these jigs a lot and would like to put them to more uses
  12. Was that Medford bass caught at the mystic lakes? I've caught some whales there even in the cold water season the depth and dam make that lake productive year round
  13. I've also had my eyes on the whte Abu Garcia veritas bag as all my rigs are AG I like having a backpack to out tackle in wen I'm walking river banks and backwoods fishing
  14. Yes I figured as much I'm more askin about what the size difference is between the 3600 and 3700 they look to me the same
  15. Has anyone bought the red and yellow kvd Plano PTO elite bag? I'm looking to buy it at bps thy have it on sale the 3750 from 89 marked down to 59 and the 3650 from 79 marked down to 49. Does anyone know te difference in sizes I use 3700 stowaways but the 3650 and 3750 seems like either one would fit.
  16. Where are you guys fishing I know one of you said the quabbin I really want to I've that place a shot I have tons of mapping software to find submerged roadbeds and d foundations. Shane have you hit the Merrimack yet? I'm planning on giving it a shot this weekend just south of Manchester. Maybe goffs falls. I always have luck tere tons of walleyed too.
  17. Like most of you all I've been breakin out the rods oilling up the reels and stocking up at bps dicks and northeastern bass supp in prep for the season. What are cold water/ pre spawn faves you guys use. Where do you target, coves and bays or feeder creeks? Maybe the Merrimack back waters?? Also who here has the kvd Plano PTO Elite tackle bag? Bass pro has it makes down from 89/59 for 3750 and 79-49 for 3650. Is there much of a difference in size?
  18. Nice. What lake? I just got my biggest of the year tonight got the pre storm low pressure and full moon wammy. And on a black buzzbait of all things. Wouldn't ever be my first choice but I only had one rod and one bait with me in the envoy
  19. Joe where did you catch your fish
  20. My new cold water favorite is a small crappie jig like the darter style and rig on a small zipper worm side ways it takes the profile I a small minnow gets down to depths and displaces water Also a bass assassin on a 4/0 t rigged an dead stick with twitches every so often mimics a shad dying from cold water
  21. I've seen that rigging option I can't quite figure out how to do it yet tho. I like it on a yum pumpkin Ed jig 4/0. And puttin the body over a built on rattle on a jig w a skirt. The ones w the plastic rattles that sit under the hook shank
  22. I've already started rigging up some winter baits for sluggish bass. I'm going to try the float and fly this year aswell
  23. What do u color them with
  24. I found these detailed lil guys a while ago and typically fish them as a tube for smallies in Rivers with success. I just cuz the tail end off right at the start is the flipper today to rig it on a bootlegger jig w a rattle the rattle sits inside the craw body as it is hollow and the hook comes out the top o the plastic just before the end o the head. Has anyone erver fished these as a trailer or in the way I described and how does it work. Details I any on the crawbug
  25. Who knows where the best place to go to on my lunch to catch a couple lunkers from shore. Does anyone know how the merrimack river is over this way? Only place I've gone to so far was the spicket river by the rail trail and there was surprisingly a few bass there but I think I caught them all it's small
